  Season 15  
The 15th and final season of "ER" saw many changes during the course of the year in the walls of County General. Dr. Pratt (Mekhi Phifer) dies in the premiere and Dr. Abby Lockhart (Maura Tierney) moves with her husband Dr. Luka Kovac (Goran Visnjic) to Boston with their son a few weeks later. Dr. Cate Banfield (Angela Bassett) joins as the new Chief of Emergency Medicine in the ER.

Former main and recurring cast members Anthony Edwards, George Clooney, Julianna Margulies, Sherry Stringfield, Paul McCrane, Hallee Hirsh, William H. Macy, Thandie Newton, and Laura Innes all make return appearances during the season while Eriq La Salle, Alex Kingston, Shane West, Noah Wyle and Abraham Benrubi return for multiple episodes.

Also guest starring during the season are Courtney B. Vance, Tony Hale, Leland Orser, Charlotte Rae, Troy Evans, Same Jones III, Carl Weathers, Judy Greer, Tom Arnold, and Amy Madigan.
