Professor Ian Hood (played by the acclaimed actor Patrick Stewart) is a scientific expert working for the government who seeks to solve baffling occurrences, which other experts fail to recognize or solve. Prof. Hood’s government connection reaches so high, so he is able to bypass, or ignore local officials when necessary.

He is accompanied by a police protection officer, Rachel Young (played by Ashley Jensen), as he has made enemies in his investigations, and has even received death threats. Officer Young’s job is complicated by Professor Hood’s unusual work style.

Follow Prof. Hood and Officer Young on Prof. Hood’s search for the truth, his pursuit to debunk false science and his efforts to prevent the outbreak of pandemics.
