Emily's decision about starting a relationship with Micah becomes even more complicated when Will hears about it and begins to feel jealous. Emily and Tyra treat an unruly woman, but after learning of her home hoarding situation, Emily wonders if the woman's personality changes may be caused by her many cats. Now that Cassandra and Will have broken up, Cassandra's strictly professional behavior distracts Will and causes him to misdiagnose their patient. Meanwhile, Micah's sister comes to town after finding out the truth about their mother.

1x13: Emily and... the Leap recap: The episode begins with Emily rehearsing as to what to tell Micah about the kiss; she tells Tyra that it is all very confusing. Tyra thinks that Emily still has feelings for Will. Meanwhile, Cassie is totally cool about the break up and she tells Will that he chose Emily over her. Will says that he did no such thing. She tells him that he did. Will is surprised. Emily says that there could be professional implications in having a relationship with Micah. Just then a woman at the coffee shop faints. 1x12: Emily and... the Perfect Storm recap: The episode begins with Emily arriving at the hospital with loads of stuff; she has been on a shopping spree for her new office. Micah meets her at the entrance and once again asks her about being over with Will. She says that she is totally over him. Will and Cassie arrive. Will is surprised by Emily’s strange, new behavior. Cassie is still upset about not getting the research assistant’s job. She also tells Will that she is uncomfortable about his friendship with Emily. Will and Cassie arrive; and they leave quickly after a short chat. Tyra wonders why Emily is so happy. Emily vaguely tells her about a teapot that she saw in one of the books and relates it to her happiness. Tyra thinks that there could be a direct way of telling her the reason as to why she is happy. She tells Tyra that she has learned that Will does have some feelings for her and is sure that Cassie will lash out on Will once she begins to feel threatened. He says that he liked her but goofed it up. Emily is glad that at least he was honest about the fact that they had nothing in common. Will arrives and tells Scott that Emily is not in to him and asks him to stay off. Emily tells him that he is acting jealous. Some things need to change. Tyra tells her that she needs to get laid. Cassie tells Emily that the fact that she needs to get laid is tattooed on her forehead. Next, Bandari and her interns go to meet their patient, Mrs. Calder. She is a business woman and she is stern towards the stern Bandari and the interns are shocked.
