Crossing Over - Recap
The scene opens up with Jack talking to Allison about his arrangement with Jo and how he is happy for the company. Allison gloats that her daughter Jenna is stacking blocks already. Vince walks over and gives Allison two coffees. Jack tells that the other one is for Grant and Allison confirms and tells that Grant is trying to quit smoking and the coffee is to help. Jack calls Grant the “Gams guy” Allison tells that she has nice “Gams” and Jack agrees as she walks away. Jack goes out of Café Diem and meets up with Henry. They talk about how Jack kissed Allison 60 years ago in the past and that Grant is moving in. Fargo comes up and is in a mood to have everything perfect. He tells that he wants everything to be good for the VIP. Fargo and Jo get everything ready for the VIP and a 20-something year old woman gets out and is less than professional. It is Claudia Donovan, no relation to Zane Donovan, from Warehouse 13 and she is eager to look around Eureka.
At Henry’s garage Grant is smoking and Henry tells that smoking in the garage is bad. He tells that old habits die hard and puts it out. Grant is listening to 1970’s music and singing to “Car Wash”. They are tinkering with The Bridge again and this time they have a feeling it is going to show progress and there is a blue light. They are excited. Grace walks in and she is back from her trip. Grant leaves them alone and Grace tells Grant to close the door behind him. She missed Henry and wants to show how much she missed him too. But Henry avoids her by saying that he and Grant are working on something and that he doesn’t have time. Allison meets with Grant, who is smoking again, in his office and tells that it is quitting time and takes the cigarette from his mouth. She tells that he needs to look at his future and as Grant looks at Allison, he tells that his future is looking pretty good.
Fargo is escorting Claudia around and she seems unimpressed that Eureka is not having any futuristic things like Flying Cars and other things. Fargo tells that Eureka has a lot of things to offer and mentions that they have a robot Sherriff. There is a flash of red light in the middle of the base floor and Jack tells everyone to clear out. Several trees appear and have gone through Global Dynamics enforced steel. Henry, upon examination, tells that they are Redwoods that were in Eureka in the 1940’s and that they have long been extinct. Claudia tells that she scanned the trees for radiation and she tells that she can hang around and help out and Henry tells that he was going to suggest that same thing. Fargo tells Jack that Claudia is awesome and it is apparent that Fargo has a crush.
Allison gives Grant the Nicotine Patch and she tells that it will purge Grants body of all the Nicotine in his body. Grant takes this as an invitation to smoke and gets shocked when he tries to take a puff from a cigarette. She tells that it has a defense system that prohibits him to smoke. Henry is below the ground floor of Global Dynamics and tells that the roots are still intact. Grace is there and tells that there are certain roots that are not intact and tells Henry that something is wrong with their relationship. Jack and Claudia come in and Claudia tells that there is there is something with tree rings. There is no black ring on the trees from the eruption of Mt. St. Helens. Grace asks Jack if there is someone else in Henry’s life besides her. Jack tells that there is nothing going on. Jo is at Café Diem and she gets a vitamin smoothie. Grant enters and orders steak and potatoes and scotch. Jo tells that it is no wonder why life expectancy is 20 years shorter for men from his era. Grant lights up a cigarette despite the electrical shocks. Joe tells that second hand smoke is horrible. She pauses and then collapses in Grants arms. Jo is rushed to the hospital and they find a bullet inside of her. Allison goes out to a worried Jack and tells that the bullet inside of Jo was never fired and that it was like it was placed inside of her. Jack gets a text saying that Claudia has the test results.
Fargo and Claudia talk about how the “artifacts” have teleported and that Dr. Wheeler is in charge of that area. Zane is with Jo in the hospital wing. Jo wakes up and tells that it wasn’t him. He gives Jo a “Military Ma’am” magazine to her and walks away. Allison shows the bullet that was in Jo and tells that it is from the 1940’s. She wonders how it ended up in her chest. At Cafe Diem, Jack and Claudia go up to Dr. Wheeler and she tells that she had nothing to do with the Redwood trees. She tells that all of her test trials have failed. The same light appears in the middle of Café Diem and everyone evacuates. The rumbling stops and everyone goes in. It is a fighter jet and Jack has seen the plane before. Dr. Wheeler says that someone is messing around with wormholes. Henry tells that the plane is brand new and was placed there like the others. Henry tells that someone should walk around and survey the area. Claudia volunteers and Fargo tells that he will be her escort. During the inspection of the area, Fargo asks Claudia of her boyfriend Todd but she tells that they broke up. She calls Fargo “Fargonator” when she picks up on radiation. Henry and Jack talk about the wormhole and Henry confesses that Grant and he were tinkering with The Bridge and that it is possible that a wormhole came through. He tells that if they don’t fix it soon, 1945 and 2010 will collide.

Grant starts coughing and tells that quitting smoking was a bad thing. Jack tells that the plane materialized in Café Diem and Grant tells that their air field was where Café Diem is now. They need a map of 1945 Eureka and Grant has one. Back with Claudia and Fargo, and Fargo tells that he is sorry to hear about Todd and she tells that he wasn’t the man for her. There is another rumble and she tells that there is nothing. But when they turn around, there is Camp Eureka sign and fence from the 1940’s. Fargo tells that they are surrounded by land mines. Claudia runs off and accidently steps on a land mine. Fargo tells her not to move. Grant shows where the items materialized and shows that the plane field was where Café Diem is and that would explain the bullet in Jo’s chest and as for the Redwoods, Global Dynamics is where 1945 had a forest. They discuss the options and Grant’s cough is getting worse. Allison thinks that her Nicotine Patch is malfunctioning but Jack thinks that Grant is ripping apart from the inside. They rush outside the office and find Grant slumped against the wall. They have found their magnet that is pulling all the things from 1945 into 2010.
Outside, Fargo and Claudia are talking about their current situation and Fargo tells that the land mine is set to explode if she takes her foot off the mine. She tells that she is going to call 9-1-1 but Fargo tells that the radio waves will make the mine go off. He tells that her scanner and his PDA could make a delay for the mine. She likes it when there is “Geek” talk. Back at Global Dynamics, Allison is scanning Grant and tells that there are particles that are multiplying in Grant’s body and tells that they need to find a way to purge them from Grant’s body before it kills him. Grant coughs up blood and tells that he doesn’t have much time. Jack tells that Fargo has goo that is supposed to separate the particles that are making Grant attractive to the items from 1945. Allison tells that Grant would stay in their time. There is another light show and a nuclear missile appears. Back outside, Fargo has the delay ready and tells Claudia that they have 3 seconds to get away from the mine. Claudia pushes off the mine and falls on top of Fargo. The mine explodes and covers them in dirt. Claudia kisses Fargo and Fargo rests his head on another mine.
Allison has Grant hooked up to a machine and they are putting the goo into Grants system. Allison tells that the particles are going to neutralize. Jo is working in her bed and tells that there was an explosion where Fargo and Claudia are. She tells that a mine field used to be there and tells Jack that there is a diffuser in the closet and that he can’t get the diffuser and plasma detonator and for Jack not to get them confused. The particles multiply more and Henry tells that we need to take the risk and double the IV drip. Allison tells that they need to reprogram the Nicotine Patch to flush out the particles. Back with Fargo and Claudia and she tells that things are not as she thought was to which Fargo says that he pictured them in a hotel at Comic-Con. She means dying. They are about to kiss again and Jack comes over and tells them not to move. Jack pulls out a mine tracker and climbs the fence and falls over. He gets up and tells them that he has a diffuser or a plasma detonator. He tells that he read the instructions. He places it under Fargo’s head and tells him to roll. They roll and Fargo is on to of Claudia again. The diffuser defuses the mine. Claudia kisses Fargo again.
Back at Global Dynamics they set everything up with the Nicotine Patch and it works its magic and purges the particles from Grant’s body. The items disappear, leaving holes in their place. Henry goes to his garage and finds Grace working on a truck. He apologizes for his behavior and she tells that she can’t help him if he doesn’t let her in. She tells that Henry can give the car a ride. He tells that he would rather do something else. He dances with Grace. Dr. Grant is in his office and he tells that he is sending The Bridge away and asks Allison to drinks. She tells that she will meet him there. Jack and Jo are sitting down with beer and he tells that Grant is having drinks with Allison and he tells that he doesn’t like him. She tells that he needs to do something about it. Jack asks about Jo and Zane and she tells that
Claudia is leaving and Fargo offers a going away package and tells that she could always leave Warehouse 13 and join Global Dynamics and she tells that she will see him around. Claudia leaves, taking The Bridge with her.
