The scene opens with Zoe back in Eureka and her and Jack are walking through the town. She tells that college is going great and tells that she has changed her mind about dating Lucas and covers it with college changes people. They walk into Café Diem and Vince welcomes Zoe with her traditional gigantic cinnamon roll. Jo enters and tells that she has their date at the Spa booked and that they are going to have a lot of fun. Zoe hints that she has already found a replacement to Lucas and Jack tells that he needs to leave after seeing Allison and Grant getting a little too familiar. Jo scoots closer and wants to know more about Zoe’s new fling and she tells that they have not meet face to face but that he is funny, smart, and hot. Jo receives a phone call from the contractor of her new house and she is not happy. Grant is outside with Allison and she is happy with his gentleman behavior. He asks her to dinner and Allison hesitates. They are interrupted by Jack and he tells that he needs her for police business. After Grant leaves, Jack tells that he wanted to have a conversation. He asks her to dinner and she accepts. Jack wonders why it took 4 years to act out Allison. Jo exits Café Diem and tells the other party on the phone that they need to get to work. She gets off the phone and tells that the foundation is not even poured yet. She tells that she needs her own space. Dr. Derek Thergood is holding up the project and Zoe knows him.

They arrive on the site and Dr. Derek Thergood found a pinky from an early hominoid. At the dig site Derek tells that he needs to get a team on the project. Jo tells that he needs to get off her property but he tells that he can’t. They look and see that his hand is cemented into the wall. The other doctor tells that it is Flash-Crete, instant drying cement. He tells that he was pushed into the wall but the other doctor denies it. She gives him some spray to detach himself from the foundation wall. Derek shows Jack the charter and it clearly says that when a scientific discovery is made, it takes precedence. Jo tells that she needs to go see Fargo about a big problem he has. Jo visits Fargo at Global Dynamics and he tells that they have a problem. Grant enters and says that the Department of Defense is investigating him and that they might find out that Fargo doctored his file and they will sanction them forever. Jo tells that it is time to call “the one”. Meanwhile, Jack is getting ready for his date with Allison and Zoe tells that it is about time. She is busy talking about Derek Thergood and the fact that he is going to show her more of his research. Zoe tells that she forgot her bag at the dig site and they go. They arrive at the dig site and Zoe notices that Derek’s car is still there. She walks around and finds Derek, who has been turned into a statue.
At the lab at Global Dynamics, Allison looks over Derek and tells that a person is in there. Zoe is really upset about Derek and she goes to tell his business partner. Allison likes the way Jack is dressed and realizes that Jack was asking her on a real date. Allison sees that Derek’s heart his still beating. Jack meets with Dr. Zimmer and puts her into a jail cell in the Sherriff office just “because” after pushing Derek into the Flash-Crete to begin with. Meanwhile, Henry is trying to woo Grace and uses a hologram to try to recreate their first date together and she tells that “Old Henry” already did that but appreciates the effort. Back with Allison, she has recruited the help of the girl at the Spa and her spray. But, it doesn’t seem to be doing the trick and the girl looks at Allison and tells that she could use a treatment. In Fargo’s office, Jo has Zane and he has hacked into the Pentagon but wants something for his troubles and gets an expensive piece of equipment. Alison is going to cut through Derek and sees a tattoo. She tells that Derek isn’t covered in concrete, his skin is concrete. Jack visits a warehouse and finds other people covered in concrete and the statues open their eyes and Allison comes in and says that they are petrifying from the inside. Jack tells that Flash-Crete has silica in it. He tells that some one messed with the formula and runs to Zimmer in the jail and she has turned into a statue too. Allison tells that she is not dead yet. The girl from the Spa looks at Jack and gives him her card. Allison tells that the Flash-Crete is normal.

In Fargo’s office, Zane finds out that the IRS is looking into Grant and tells that Grant is claiming 11 dependants. Fargo tells it is Larry’s fault and that it is supposed to be a one. Zane asks if they need anything else and Jo tells him to leave. Zoe is examining Derek’s pinky and tells that he was not telling the truth. They go to Derek’s home lab and Zoe tells that she is looking for Derek’s PERM Solution (Permineralization). Jack picks up a dead possum and drops it into a liquid. The dead animal turns into stone. Back at Global Dynamics, Zoe gets checked over by Allison and she tells that Zoe is fine with no traces of silica in her system. Zoe tells that Derek probably used the PERM to speed up the process of the skeleton pinkie and Allison tells that now that she knows what caused it, she could possibly cure it. Jack tells Zoe to go to the Spa and she tries to resist but accepts the proposal. Allison tells that she can possible create an antidote for the petrifaction process. Jack starts to leave be stops. He asks Allison what she thought about Grant asking her on a date she tells that she thought it was a real date. Jack asks why not him too. Allison tells it is because Jack kissed her and is trying to avoid her and that he never asks her on dates. Jack visits Henry at the dig site and he quarantines the area. He tells that “Other Henry” already did it. He asks Jack for advice with Grace and Jack tells that he needs to go to the last person he would go to for advice and Henry tells that is what he thought he was doing.
Zoe and Grace are in the Spa together and that she has a new guy that helped her with her homework. Back at Global Dynamics, Derek is dying and Allison tells that she is going to have to try to find a match but doesn’t know if Derek has time. Zane and Zoe are a little flirty and Jack is shocked. Zoe tells that Zane is the new guy and he tells that Zane is a train wreck and tells that Allison needs their help. But it is too late for Zoe and she starts to petrify. Allison rushes in to give her a sedative and tells that they will find a cure. Zane runs up to Jo and tells that Grant’s personnel file is a fake and that he is hiding something. Zane tells that there is something wrong with Grant. Jo tells that Grant is perfectly cleared. Grant is playing piano and Larry enters with a gift basket. Larry tells that there is wine from 1947 and Grant is a little nervous. Larry attempts to try to “hang out” and Grant sees a note that is written “The Depot. 8 am”. Allison needs to still find a cure and Jack tells that it is possible that Zoe came in contact with something after Allison cleared her.

Jack and Jo enter the Spa and Jack tells that he smells oranges like he did at the construction site. The girl tells that Zoe dipped her hands in “Limone” and Jack tells that they need a sample of it. They return to the lab and Allison tells that they have the cure but have no way of delivering it. They figure out that steam will penetrate the pours and they seal off everyone. They arrive at 100% absorption but nothing is happening. Everyone fears Zoe is and the rest are gone. But it is not good enough for Jack and he rips open the barrier and holds Zoe’s hand. She starts to return to normal. Zoe wakes up and tells that purification does wonders on her skin. Zane walks in and Jack tells that Zane and Zoe are more than friends since they changed things. Jo enters and sees them. She is devastated. Grace walks up to Henry and he starts to sing to her and has Fargo DJ to win back Grace’s heart. Meanwhile Jack and Allison meet and he asks if the kiss was a mistake and she tells it was not. Allison tells that they have something special and that it is not worth the risk to destroy it. But he goes back to her and kisses her, this time in the present time. Grant walks into “The Depot” and looks around for the person wanting to meet with him. A woman calls him by his original name, Trevor Grant and tells that he knew her father Adam back in 1947. She introduces herself to Grant and it is Beverly Barlow. She tells that they have been waiting a long time for him.
