I'll Be Seeing You - Recap

The scene opens in 1946 where Grant and Adam Barlow are talking about their plan to have Einstein to delay the designing of the Atomic bomb and give Adam the documentation that Adam is going to need to join the Manhattan project back in 1939. Up to present day and Jack and Alison are in bed together. They wake up and kiss each other. Alison tells that she needs to brush her teeth. They get a text saying that they need to come into Global Dynamics. They get in and Fargo asks where they were. They tell that they were sleeping and Fargo wonders why they were together. Joe tells that they don’t know who could have taken the DED device or where it could be. Henry comes in and says that there is something masking the radiation levels and that he has a theory that something is doing it. Jack gets a call from Andy and tells Joe that Zane wants to talk to them. Alison says that she and Henry are going to check out the area. Joe tell Jack that she told Zane about their past.

Meanwhile, Beverly gets the bridge device ready and Grant is impressed that she was able to build it. She says that her father, Adam Barlow, stole the plans after Grant disappeared back in 1946 and she only needed the plasma cell from the DED device to power it. She tells she can send him back to the same moment and knows about the passion to protect everyone from themselves that Grant has. She tells that he would be able to save countless numbers of lives from the disasters he’d prevent. At the Sherriff’s office, Zane tells that Grant is up to something because he was seeing that his personnel file was doctored and that he is not who he says he is. Jack tells Andy to call him. However, no one answers. Meanwhile, Henry and Alison arrive at the spot where Henry thinks is masking the radiation and says that he doesn’t remember a gorge being there. Back at Global Dynamics, Joe tells that she can tell that Jack and Alison are together and says congratulations; it only took him 4 years. Jack says thanks. They go to Grant’s classified files and Jack finds recording wire. Jack listens and hears Grant telling that he has Jack in custody. Joe says that Adam Barlow was arrested for stealing plans and Jack realizes that Beverly is Adam’s daughter. Henry and Alison are walking into a trap.

Alison tries to get a signal, but can’t in their area. Henry laughs and says that he is happy that her and Jack are together. Henry starts to pick up something on his meters and inside, Beverly tells that once the bridge device is at max, he will be able to go back. Beverly tells that she is vested into this because Adam will not go to prison. Jack tries to call Alison as he drives to the scene, but can’t. Henry sees something and tells Alison to run. They get in the car and Alison is about to buckle her seat belt when the pulse throws the SUV back toward Jack. He swerves and wakes up after a bit. He kicks in the door window to get out. Henry stumbles out and tells that Alison’s injures are too bad and she is dead. Jack goes up to the gorge and sees that there is something. He finds a cord and destroys it. He goes inside to find Grant and Beverly. He tackles Grant and punches him. He is about to punch him again when he finds that the shed is gone. They are back in 1946. Jack says that Alison is dead. The pulse killed her. He sees Jack in the middle of the road and says that he is there too soon. They hide. Grant says that he didn’t want anyone to get hurt and says that they can save Alison still. They have to stop Adam from stealing the blueprints to the bridge device. Grant stands to the side and tells that he had engine problems. Jack hops in the back.

When they get into camp, Jack sees naked Fargo running around. Grant tells that they have to let Fargo get arrested and Grant tells that he is going to stop Barlow. Jack walks around and sees the other Grant recording the recording that he heard. Jack goes up to some doctors and tells that he is looking for a naked man. They are confused and Fargo runs past him. Jack lights a firecracker and Fargo is found and arrested. Grant watches himself get talked to by the General and follows Barlow. He walks in and asks how things are going. He tries to tell Barlow to abandon the entire thing, but Barlow tells that he is going to do it with or without him. Grant goes up to Jack and tells him that he couldn’t get through to Barlow. Suddenly there is an explosion and Jack remembers that it is because Joe is coming into camp. The car flips and Alison goes to the man’s aid. The man is Barlow and the jumper cables that she used to save his life are gone. Grant tells Jack that he needs Barlow to die so that things will change. Jack doesn’t want it to end like that and goes to look for other jumper cables, but he is arrested. Alison manages to save Barlow’s life anyways without the cables.

The General takes him in a room and calls him a spy. Grant comes in with his hat on and Jack thinks that it is 1946 Grant. However, when they leave, it is the Grant that Jack needs. He apologizes for the slap. He tells Jack that he is going to be able to make their PDA’s to act as beacons as well. Grant tells Jack to tell Alison about the pulse before they go. Jack goes inside and tries to find Alison and himself. By the time he gets there, he is too late. He walks out and tells Grant that he was too late. However, when Grant calls him thickheaded, he remembers the recording and tells that he knows how they can reach Alison. The scene goes back to Jack and Alison waking up, going into work and going out to look at the gorge. However, when Jack and Joe listen to the recording, Jack recorded a message too and tells Jack to listen to him carefully in order to save Alison’s life.

Jack races to the gorge and starts honking his horn. Alison and Henry back away from the gorge and see the pulse. They get into the car and Alison buckles up. She backs up and Jack plows through the doors. He gets out of the car and they transport back to present day Jack and Grant. Beverly is gone. Jack rushes out to find that Alison and Henry survived the pulse Grant tells that he wanted to make things right and apologizes for things happening. Fargo comes up and Mansfield is going to open an investigation. Jack says that they have to make sure that they keep it between them. Zane gets released and talks to Joe. He says that he knows that something is going on with the five of them and asks what they were to each other. He kisses her and asks why that didn’t feel like their first kiss. Zoe comes in and tells that they need to go out to celebrate. Grant packs up and Jack tells that he has new paperwork for Grant to start a new life. Grant shows that he invested into Johnson and Johnson and he is “rolling in it”. He says that he always wanted to travel. He leaves Jack with a baseball signed by Jackie Robinson. Later, Beverly is in a car looking at the surveillance video and talks to someone on the phone. She says that she has someone else in mind and looks at Jack in the video. The episode ends.
