O' Little Town... - Recap

The scene opens with Jack driving up to Café Diem and it is snowing because of the Christmas season. Jack asks Vincent why the kids are so sad and he tells that Eureka is snowed in and their holiday plans are ruined. He tells Vincent to get a round of Hot Chocolate and keep them coming. He walks up to the kids and tells that he is going to tell the story. They ask if they have to and he says that the Sheriff badge says that they do. He begins the story and Jack and Zoe are trying to leave and the Electromagnetic Shield is malfunctioning and he tells that they are trapped in Eureka for Christmas.

They get to Café Diem and Alison tells that she puts elf footprints around the presents. Vincent tells that his secret Santa got him a pot set and says that Zoe got one too. She opens it and it is a vial record of her favorite band. Vincent tells that he has a gift for them and it is miniature fruitcakes. Jack takes one and is amazed with the taste. They get a text saying “Code 12: Air Assault”. Jack runs outside to find Joe and her team arriving too. They draw on the boogie and Jack sees that it is a sleigh with reindeer. The kids don’t believe him, but he tells that he is not lying. Joe and Jack are not enthusiastic to chase down Santa and Joe sneaks out of it. Jack is not happy that it is hot in Eureka and that he has to track Santa down. Meanwhile, Joe sees Noah Drummer trying to get something. He says that he is going to take his experiment home with him and tells that it is Peace of Earth because it is going to give a lot of energy. Drummer leaves with Joe without the experiment.

Alison makes sure that all the people are safe and asks what Zoe is thinking and she tells that she is just bummed that she won’t visit family. Alison says that she goes all out. She finds that there is something for Alison. She opens it and it is bunny slippers. Alison tells that she has always wanted a pair. Zoe tells that she is going to track down the Secret Santa. Meanwhile, Jack approaches the “Santa” on the road and it is Tagert. He tells that that Tagert has messed with their EM Field and he tells that he is only pioneering the ways of Scientology. Jack asks where the reindeer went and Tagert shows that they are holographs, but they have been acting up. He asks for a tow back to Global Dynamics. The party begins and Jack and Tagert go to his lab and Tagert tells that he is going to try to get Santa Clause caught to get to know him. Jack tells that it was probably his father in red pajamas. He tells that he is trying to make Santa’s job easier by making a shrink ray to shrink down the gifts. He opens up the present and it is a “can of Christmas cheer”. He opens it and a hologram of Vincent, Zoe and Fargo sing Christmas carols. He goes up to Alison and tells about Tagert’s plan and she laughs about it and says that he has to have something to be happy about.

Zane is having people sit on his lap and invites Joe. She tells that she will pass and tells that she has a town full of people she has to babysit. Jack comes to Joe and says that Tagert’s Santa. Joe gets word of a breach and goes to Drummer’s lab and sees that the little experiment is now grown the size of the room. Henry tells that they need to move it and Jack says Christmas and the hologram comes on again. Henry laughs and tells them to find Drummer. Zoe comes up to Zane, who is crying. He says that he got two tickets to see Springsteen. Zoe tells that the Secret Santa is good. Joe goes up to Alison that no one has record of Drummer. Zoe goes to Fargo and says that he thought Zane was the Secret Santa because he knew that he wanted a Million Dollar Man lunch box. Fargo says that he wants to find him and suspend him for hacking Fargo. Meanwhile, they move the crystal and check the change of size. Jack tells Joe that she has a heart of stone. In the lab, Henry realizes that the crystal hasn’t changed and Jack calls. They realize that the town is shrinking. The kids laugh as Jack’s story and he gets up to leave, but they tell him to finish the story.

Jack and Joe get back to the lab, Henry tells that as they get smaller, the hotter is going to get. Jack asks what is causing the strinkage and then realizes that it is Target’s device. He goes into Tagert’s lab and gets caught in a net. He tells that Tagert can’t trap Santa. He tells that his device is causing the town to shrink. He tells that it is impossible, but sees that he isn’t the one that messed it up and Jack finds a mini-fruitcake inside. He goes up to Vincent and he admits that he used it and overtaxed the machine. Jack goes outside and big things are blowing into town and he is run over by a giant ornament. Joe finds Drummer and says that there is a serious situation. Drummer talks about Joe’s personal life and calls her Josephina. Tagert hooks up his shrink ray and Drummer is calm and tells that Tagert can do it. Henry is nervous and Drummer says that Henry always finds a way to do it. Tagert realizes that Drummer is more than he shows. Meanwhile, Jack talks to Alison and she tells that she makes Christmas a big deal because her family never did. Jack tells that everything is going to work out for them in the end.

In the lab, they shrink the crystal and Henry tells that they need to shoot it up into the sky and shoot it over the EM Field. Tagert tells that he has the perfect mode of transportation. Jack and Tagert fly to the top of the EM Field and Jack tells Tagert to throw the crystal. He shoots it and causes it to explode. Joe and Fargo see the aftermath of the party and Joe says that it was the best party. He says thanks and she kisses him on the cheek. She hums “Silent Night” and Zoe comes in and tells that she knows that Joe was the Secret Santa. She tells that she knew what music Zoe likes and what Alison said, but says that she hates Christmas and realizes that she doesn’t. Joe tells that when she was younger, she would give gifts to her brothers and now can’t spend Christmas with them. Zoe asks what Joe got for Jack and she tells that she thinks that she nailed it. Jack and Tagert get back to town and the town is normal size. Drummer shows that some of the crystal remained and it is the Star of Christmas. It starts to snow and everyone laughs. Jack introduces himself, but Drummer already knows who he is. Tagert stops Drummer and tells that he is on to him and asks him to talk to him. He tells that he will be back, same time next year.

The kids ask Jack if any of that is true and Jack tells that it is all true. The kids tell that it was a pretty decent story and say thank you. Jack remembers the end of the story where Henry tells that they need to remember and rejoice on how lucky they are to be together. Jack sees his gift and sees that it is a collage of everyone in town. He says that it is perfect. Zoe tells that they can probably make it home before the holiday season ends and Jack tells that they are home. The episode ends with Alison enjoying her gift and everyone hugging and enjoying their Christmas holiday.
