Eureka 7 {Seven) is the story of Renton, a 14 year old boy who lives with his grandfather. Renton has become tired of leading such a mediocre life, and aspires to soar the skies on his board, which can ride Trapar waves. Living ever in the shadow of his father's fame and his sister's sense of adventure, he longs for something new to come into his life.

Renton is amazed when a strange LFO (Mech used for Ref and combat) crashes into his grandfather's garage. It is piloted by a young girl named Eureka, who requests that Renton join her and her friends; an offer Renton can't resist. And thus, Renton sets off on a path of adventure, promising his grandfather that he'll learn all that he can and return; and yet having little idea what he's really getting himself into.
