A 14 year old named Renton Thurston, who lives in the shadow of his fallen war hero of a father, dreams of leaving his dull hometown. Holland rentons idle, a famous REF boarder, who lives aboard the world famous outlaw ship the 'GekkoState', comes to take him away from his boring hometown to join him on his adventures.
