Home from New York, Ephram turns to Amy for support and tries to decide what to do next. He decides to try to locate the baby by going to Child Services, but is devastated when he learns that Madison signed adoption papers with "father unknown" and terminated parent-child relationship. Meanwhile, Amy tries to get Ephram another Julliard audition, but doesn't have much success; Andy is stunned by Nina's feelings for Jake; and Hannah gives in and finally goes on a date with Topher.
