Chris Rock narrates as Brooklyn teenager Chris is uprooted from his school and bused to a white school two-hours away. There, Chris goes head-to-head with a bully, but is able to make a new friend in Greg during his first day. Meanwhile, Chris' father, Julius, and mother, Rochelle, talk about family finances.

Feeling the speech is too long to memorize, Chris decides to call in a bomb threat to delay his presentation. Elsewhere, a customer claims to have put a voodoo curse on Rochelle after refusing to give customer a refund on her services.
