Because he's African American, Chris is recruited by the basketball team despite the fact he can't play. Things are made worse when the attention he gets from the school staff and other students hurts his friendship with Greg. Meanwhile, the family decides to rent their upstairs room, but Rochelle becomes increasingly suspicious of Mr. Tate, their new tenant.

Originally set to air on 10/13/05, this episode was bumped up a week to air on 10/6/05. | "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" by The Eurythmics - the song playing when Chris walks out onto the Basketball court at the start of the game. | This episode drew 5.71 million viewers, coming fifth in it's timeslot. | Even though this was the third episode shown it was actually the fourth to be produced. | The Eurythmics's "Sweet Dream" is one of the few songs played in the series that was actually released in 1983. |
