Chris' plans to attend his neighbor Lisa's big Halloween party are threatened when his mother Rochelle makes him take his younger brother and sister trick-or-treating. Meanwhile, Chris and Greg attempt to dodge holiday pranksters armed with rotten eggs at school. Later, Rochelle objects when cost-conscious Julius wants to give trick-or-treaters the generic "M and N's, " "Nickers" and "Gravy Ways" that he bought.

Interesting enough the movie premiered in Finland the day before Halloween. | This episode drew 5.23 million viewers, coming fourth in it's timeslot. | Eric Laneuville (who directs this episode) knows something about 1982. He was playing Luther on NBC's St. Elsewhere in it's first season. | The song "Ebony Eyes" was not released until 1983. | Prince's "Little Red Corvette" song was not released until 1983. | Prince's song "Kiss" was featured in all previews, however it did not come out until 1986. |

Episode Quotes |
| |
Rochelle: (Looking at Candy) What's this? Butterthumbs?! | Rochelle: Don't eat any candy until you get home and show it to me! One boy ate an apple with a rasor in it and it cut his head off! | Narrator: You would think a guy that gets beat up everyday wouldn't leave the house wearing tights. |
