206 :09x01 - The Price of Freedom

Sep/29/1989
Angela decides to leave Lance in charge of Falcon Crest as she prepares for a visit to Greece and she asks Frank to keep an eye on him. Emma finds her relationship with Daniel in a mess and ends up turning to another man called Charley for some comfort. Richard decides to testify against his co-conspirator, Michael Sharpe in an effort to be released from prison. Richard is able to survive an attempt on his life. Maggie dies after drowning in a swimming pool. A private investigator is hired by Angela to follow Pilar.

207 :09x02 - Charley

Oct/06/1989
Emma is supported by Charley at Maggie's funeral. Angela cancels her trip after becoming concerned about Charley's influence over the her daughter. Michael gains revenge on Richard by making sure that he looses custody of his children. Charley tries to get rid of Angela for good.

Angela slips into a coma after being rushed to the hospital. Pilar helps Lance after he finds it hard running Falcon Crest without his grandmother's help. Richard finds out that Michael is responsible for his children being taken away. Angela's family consider turning off her life support machine.

Charley causes problems for Emma's family. Falcon Crest is saved by Richard from Michael's clutches after the bank calls in it's loan. Frank goes to the bank with the power of attorney which Angela had given him and takes over control of Falcon Crest after being urged to do so by Genele.

Michael has to pay a huge fine due to Richard's testimony. Michael is confronted by his sister Lauren and her husband about how they gained custody of the children. Frank becomes more obsessed with Genele. When Charley learns that Daniel has commited suicide he becomes determined to marry Emma. Emma is given control of Falcon Crest in court. Charley has ideas for the future of Falcon Crest.

Ian and his wife are hired by his brother Charley to run the winery at Falcon Crest. Charley ends up in a fight with Lance and after Lance beats him up, Charley fires him. After getting his children back, Richard ends up returning them to Lauren's care after he learns they enjoyed living with her. Pilar is blackmailed by Ned Vogel. Emma goes to see her mother and thinks she hears her tell her to get rid of Charley.

Sal is hired to eliminate Richard. After Sal double crosses Michael by deciding to team up with Richard he ends up getting himself killed. Sydney is beaten up by Ian after she becomes friends with Emma against his wishes. Charley shows Lance the videotape of Pilar with Ned in an effort to get rid of him. Pilar is unable to stop a furious Lance from leaving.

213 :09x08 - Luck Wave

Michael is able to get Ian and Charley to agree to sell Falcon Crest to him. Emma backs out of the deal. After Charley learns that Michael has information on him and Ian that could send them to prison he decides to kill Emma and forge her signature so that he can sell Falcon Crest to Michael. When Emma informs Charley that she is going to have a baby he decides he cant kill her. Lance ends up in a dangerous game of Russian roulette involving scorpions.

Emma continues to be pressurized by Charley to sell Falcon Crest to Michael. When Ian learns from his brother about his wife's affair with Chris Argetti they come up with a plan to get rid of both Sydney and Emma. Richard tells Lauren how he feels. Frank intervenes when he sees Ian attacking Sydney. Sydney ends up killing Ian. When Charley goes after Emma she ends up shooting him.

Richard pays Jace back for his involvement in helping Michael gain control of Falcon Crest and causes him to loose all of his money. Pilar and Lance continue to be distance from each other. Walker becomes unhinged after catching Lauren kissing Richard by threatening to blow himself up. Lauren, Richard, Michael and Genele attempt to reason with Walker as Michael and Kevin return home. Walker has a change of heart but when the explosive devise he is wearing refuses to stop counting down he ends up just blowing himself up sparing everybody else.

Michael manages to get one over on Richard who ends up loosing $52 million in the process. Richard thinks that Lauren leaked the information to her brother. Genele shows up at Richard's door and removes her clothes.

Pilar informs Richard that Genele was the one who told Michael about his business dealings. Richard throws Genele out and then tries to get back together with Lauren.

Both Richard and Michael try to find Lauren. Fed up with their constant fighting Lauren has left town and got a job as a waitress. Michael tries to convince Danny to break up with Sydney. Michael agrees to sell Falcon Crest to Lance and Pilar if they break up Danny and Sydney. After Richard and Lauren are reunited she finds herself having to deal with his obsession with Maggie.

Genele gets her hands on some stolen bonds that Michael is trafficking and she arranges for Richard to cash them in. Lance, Pilar and Danny are able to turn things around at the winery. When Genele needs some of the money to pay off a witness who saw what she did, Richard decides not to help her as payback for what she did to him before. Michael thinks that Danny is responsible when he learns the bonds have been cashed in. Thinking that Sydney put him up to it, Michael tampers with the breaks in her car. Danny ends up driving the car and is involved in an accident.

Danny's condition is serious following the accident. Anne Bowen who is Danny's mother and Michael agree to allow a dangerous operation to remove a bone shard from their son's spinal cord. Sydney decides it would be best if she left Falcon Crest. Richard and Lance believe that Michael is responsible for the car crash and set out to discover the truth. Michael is determined to stop them from learning the truth.

Richard's plan to run Falcon Crest with Lauren hits a snag by his mother's return. Richard tells Angela she has no claim on Falcon Crest. Angela teams up with Michael to stop Richard from marrying his sister.

After Danny learns that Richard is his real father he pays Michael a visit. Even though Danny insists it doesn't change anything, Michael thinks they should go their separate ways. Lauren offers Danny a place to stay but Richard wants nothing to do with him. After seeing how cold Richard can be, Lauren wonders if she should call off the wedding. When Danny threatens to take his own life both Richard and Michael offer him their support. Lauren decides to go ahead with the wedding and Angela remains determined to stop it.

Richard agrees to sell Angela back Falcon Crest if she agrees to give his sons half the company following her death. Pilar tells Lance that she is going to have their baby. Lance and Pilar decide to stay at Falcon Crest after Angela gives Lance 10% of the company and another 40% following her death. Richard and Lauren are married. At the end of the wedding reception Angela remembers some of the people from Falcon's Crest past and looks forward to the future.
