After learning that Emma was involved with Jason’s death, Angela decides to cover for her to keep her safe, only to have Emma feel guilty for her actions. When Chase and Maggie are traveling home for the funeral, he begins to remember all the fun times he had at the vineyard and decides to move his family back to Falcon Crest after realizing his long absence has taken its toll on the family. Unhappy at the prospect of Chase and Maggie moving back to the vineyard, Angela thinks of a way to get rid of them. But when Angela finds out about their business deal, she decides to buy the man’s mortgage from the bank so he has to back out of the deal with Chase. When he learns of Angela’s feelings toward him, Lance decides to prove his worth to her by blowing up Chase’s pump house, but only earns more of her scorn. He then attempts to make Angel happy by paying off Chase’s workers once the grape harvest begins. After this happens, she attempts to court Cole in order to make him the heir to Falcon Crest and to make Lance jealous. When he tries to straighten things out with the workers, Chase tries to get Cole back in the fold with his family. After Cole learns of what’s going on with the workers, he decides to go back home and help the family out. It is at this point that Chase learned of what Angela did and ultimately confronts her about her actions. As a result, his workers arrive back on the grounds and continue in the grape harvest.
