With Lance’s recent irresponsible behavior, Angela threatens to keep him from one day owning Falcon Crest. When he learns of Angela’s feelings toward him, Lance decides to prove his worth to her by blowing up Chase’s pump house, but only earns more of her scorn. He then attempts to make Angel happy by paying off Chase’s workers once the grape harvest begins. After this happens, she attempts to court Cole in order to make him the heir to Falcon Crest and to make Lance jealous. When he tries to straighten things out with the workers, Chase tries to get Cole back in the fold with his family. After Cole learns of what’s going on with the workers, he decides to go back home and help the family out. It is at this point that Chase learned of what Angela did and ultimately confronts her about her actions. As a result, his workers arrive back on the grounds and continue in the grape harvest. Meanwhile, Angela decides to help Mario out by garnering him a college scholarship.
