Maggie meets with Senator Ryder and tries to get Richard immunity for the remainder of the hearing. Richard is drugged and when he wakes up he discovers the dead body of Madame Malec next to him. Richard gives up trying to convince anyone in Washington that The Thirteen exists. Maggie is able to convince her daughter not to say anything about Richard at the hearing. Melissa tries to convince Angela to let her enter Hobart to look for her heirloom following Frank's release from hospital. After Angela refuses, Melissa remains determined to get into the town. As Lance tries to help Melissa get into the town through a tunnel a vault-full of old safe-deposit boxes from Wells Fargo falls onto them. Richard thinks that Senator Horton could be a mole for The Thirteen and decides to use the Fifth Amendment in his testimony. Eric testifies against Richard at the hearing. Emma decides not to testify after Richard is able to convince her that he did not kill Curtis. After coming face to face with John Remick, Maggie tries to get him to testify. John ends up testifying and then disappears. Angela is wired for a meeting with The Thirteen but when she returns to Washington she finds there is nothing on the tape. Carly learns that Dan isn't actually her brother. Melissa learns that the Argetti family are the rightful heirs to Falcon Crest. After a rock fall Melissa and Lance become trapped.
