| Show Slang | "Survey Says!":
The famous catchphrase most associated with "Family Feud." During the Fast Money round on the 1976 pilot, host Richard Dawson came up with this term to reveal the number of people who said an answer. Since then, it's become a household phrase.
There have been other variations. Dawson would sometimes simply say, "Survey!" during his run. Second host Ray Combs would come up with his own variations, namely, "What did the/our survey say?"
