Episode Quotes |

Quagmire: You are the worst person I know.
You constantly hit on your best friend's wife.
The man pays for your food and rescued you from certain death and this is how you repay him? And to add insult to injury you defaecate all over his yard.
And you're such a sponge! You pay for nothing. You always say,"Oh, I'll get you later!" but later never comes. And what really bothers me is you pretend you're this deep guy who loves women for their souls when all you do is date bimbos.
Yeah I date women for their bodies but at least I'm honest about it! I don't buy them a copy of Catcher in the Rye and then lecture them with seventh grade interpretation on how Holden Caulfield is some profound intellectual. He wasn't! He was a spoiled brat and that's why you like him so much. He's you.
God you're pretentious! And you delude yourself by thinking you're some great writer even though you're terrible.
You know I should have known Cheryl Tiggs didn't write me that note. She would have known there's no "a" in the word "definite".
And I think what I hate most about you is your textbook liberal agenda. How we should (air quotes)"legalize pot, man" How big business is crushing the underclass. How homelessness is the biggest tragedy in America.
Well what have YOU done to help? I work down at the soup kitchen Brian. Never seen you down there. You want to help? Grab a ladle! And by the way? Driving a Prius doesn't make you Jesus Christ! Oh wait! You don't believe in Jesus Christ or any religion for that matter because "Religion is for idiots!" Well who the hell are you to talk down to anyone?!
You failed college twice, which isn't nearly as bad as your failure as a father. How's that son of yours you never see? But you know what? I can forgive all of it.
All of it, if you weren't. Such. A BORE. That's the worst of it Brian. You're just a big, sad, alcoholic, bore. |

Episode Goofs |

When Joe says “how do we know you're any good”, Jerome picks up a handful of darts and spells out “Good 'Nuff”.
Problem is, there were never any darts on the table or anywhere in the scene when he walks up. | Stewie says he watched “Tommy Boy” and he thought when he knocked on the glass it distracted Chris and he fell down a hill.
That scene however, didn't occur in “Tommy Boy”, it happened in his other comedy, 1996's “Black Sheep” | When we see Brian waiting by Glen's mailbox there's a line dividing his driveway and the sidewalk but when Stewie rides up in his big wheel the dividing line is missing but returns when Quagmire finally comes out to check his mail. |

Visual: “The Rat Pack”
The “Rat Pack” was the name given to singers Frank Sinatra (1915-1998), Sammy Davis Jr. (1925-1990) & Dean Martin (1917-1995) (all voiced by Seth MacFarlane in this episode) as well as, although not featured in the episode, Actor Peter Lawford (1922-1984) and Comedian Joey Bishop (1918-2007) | Peter: “We're a man short, like Statler without Waldorf”
The Muppets character “Statler” appears in this episode.
The two would appear in between sketches on “The Muppet Show” (1976-1981) making comments on how bad the acts were.
They would mainly appear on screen to heckle Fozzie Bear. | One of the stars of the HBO show, “Entourage” (2004-), Kevin Connolly (1974-) is mentioned in this episode.
His “Oh no, there after me Kevin Connolly Charms” line is of course, a take off of “Lucky” and the “Lucky Charms” cereal commercials. | Stewie: “Brian I just found out Chris Farley died”
Stewie and Brian discuss the death of Saturday Night Live star Chris Farley (1964-1997).
Stewie also mentions one of his comedies, 1995's “Tommy Boy” (see Episode Goofs) | Audio: “Listen I don't care if you're dating Mallory, noone in this family likes you Nick”
When Peter is spying on him, Jerome is watching an episode of “Family Ties”.
The character speaking is “Alex P. Keaton” (played by Michael J Fox (1961-)) and the characters mentioned in the line are Alex's sister “Mallory Keaton” (played by Justine Bateman (1966-)) and her boyfriend “Nick Moore” (played by Scott Valentine (1958-)).
Peter mentiones the character “Skippy Handleman” (played by Marc Prince (1968-)) | Peter: “This whacked out world. It just makes you want to grab your nephew and get in a van and shoot people in the DC area”
This is an allusion to the “Beltway Sniper Attacks” that took place in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area over a three week period in October of 2002.
John Allen Muhammad & his nephew Lee Boyd Malvo shot 13 people, resulting in 10 deaths and 3 injuries.
Muhammad was sentenced to death and executed in November 2009.
Malvo was sentenced to six consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole. | Peter: “Well I guess you can stay here but I'll tell you one thing...Oh...hang on a second”
Peter, Lois and Jerome are interrupted by a spinning colored circle.
This is the icon that shows up on MACs when the computer freezes or is busy. | Peter: “Relax Mr Furley, I thought what you thought but it's okay”
“Ralph Furley” was the character played by Don Knotts (1924-2006) on the tv sitcom “Three's Company” (1977-1984) | Stewie: “Um, I'll have what she's having”
Reference to the scene & line from the 1989 romantic comedy, “When Harry Met Sally” starring Meg Ryan (1961-) & Billy Crystal (1947-).
Brian's “I'll have what he's having” line was spoken by director Rob Reiner's mother after seeing Sally's (Ryan) faked orgasm. | Glen used to date former super model and actress Cheryl Tiegs (1947-) | Jerome: “What you talkin' 'bout Peter?”
Peter: (laughs)
Jerome's line is the catch phrase of the character “Arnold Jackson” (played by Gary Coleman (1968-)) from the sitcom “Diff'rent Strokes” (1978-1986) |
