2004's “The Butterfly Effect” starring Ashton Kutcher gives Peter the idea of a panic room instead of the obvious choice of Jodie Foster's 2002 movie “Panic Room”
Peter: “Of course I'm obligated by the state of Kansas to present the church's alternative to the theory of evolution”
The alternative choice to evolution is the theory of “Creationism” or “Intelligent Design” presented as if the character Jeannie from the TV show “I Dream of Jeannie” (1965-1970) simply poofed everything into existence and did so to the theme from the TV series.

This is an altered quote from the 1996 movie “Swingers” starring Vince Vaughn.
