| Herbert: Hey there, Chris.
Chris: Hi Mr. Herbert!
Herbert: Sellin' yer old hand-me-downs?
Chris: Yep.
Herbert: Ya got anything that ya used to wear in the summer time?
Chris: Just these old shorts.
Herbert: Sweet Jesus. | (Peter sets Meg's hair on fire)
Joe: Hey, Meg don't be such a "hothead". (snickers)
Cleveland: Meg, you look "hot". (snickers)
Peter: Meg, I just lit your scalp on fire. | Peter: Now if you'll excuse me, I have some death to defy. | Man: Interesting. What do I get if I win?
Stewie: My dog.
Man: Hmm. What can he do?
Stewie: Um, if you put peanut butter on your body, he'll lick it off. (Whispers) Anywhere. | Stewie: Why have you brought me to the toy store Brian?
Brian: I'm buying you another Rupert. (Picks up a Gorilla doll) Hey, this one's cute, huh? (Reads label) And if we buy it, they save a real gorilla in the wild. And if we don't, they kill one...wow, these guys are really playing hardball. | Brian: I mean, you are getting a little old to have a teddy bear.
Stewie: Brian, I'm 1!
Brian: Still?
Stewie: What? | Joe: I'm here to revoke your driver's license.
Peter: What? Why?
Joe: We got reckless driving, disturbing the peace, plus the driver of one of those other cars was a virgin whose hymen was busted by the airbags...so, rape. | Mayor Adam West: If I enter Connecticut, I'm entering every state that Connecticut's ever been with. Good luck, brave travelers. | Mayor Adam West: Can I help you, gentlemen?
Brian: Follow that truck. (Pause) Didn't you hear me? I said, "Follow that truck."
Mayor Adam West: Oh, I heard you. What I didn't hear was "please."
Brian and Stewie: Please follow that truck! | Theme Lyrics to My Black Son:
This time around,
I'm stayin' at home,
And things are gonna get better.
Settlin' in,
Lovin' My Wife,
But then I got that letter.
My black son, My black son,
Now each day my heart is gettin' bigger!
Don't even remember sleepin' with that lady but I did.
My black son, He's comin' to stay.
My black son, He's makin' each day
The best that he can!
(In Peter's Voice) Also, he's a ninja. | Stewie: If only I had rockets in my skii's...oh wait, I totally have rockets in my skii's! |

| Opening show scenes used in Peter's 80's television montage: Charles in Charge, Three's Company, Bosom Buddies, Diff'rent Strokes, Laverne and Shirley, and Who's the Boss?. | Peter: Lois, I don't come down to Burger King and tell you how to do your job.
Burger King is a popular fast food restaurant. | Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn
The space funeral scene is a parody of Spock's funeral in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn. | Woody: How's life treating you Mr. Peterson?
One of the shows Peter puts himself into is the classic sitcom Cheers. The animation of the show looks almost exactly like the real one, and the lines exchanged were even often exchanged in the real show. George Wendt (who played Norm on the show) even voiced the animated Norm for this episode. | Smokey and the Bandit
Brian and Stewie get a ride from Smokey and the Bandit from the movie Smokey and the Bandit on their way to Colorado. | Peter: There is no Peter, only Zuul.
Peter's line is the exact line spoken by the character "Dana" in the hit movie Ghostbusters (Replacing Dana with Zuul, obviously). | Mayor Adam West: Bo Bice.
Bo Bice is a rock singer who before became famous after placing second in American Idol Season 4. | The Flintstones
The scene where Meg puts BamBam and Pebbles onto Peter's head is much like what Fred Flinstone did to Dino during the end credits of every Flintstones episode. | Stewie: (Dressed as Satan, laughing)
The scene where Brian looks over and Stewie is dressed up like Satan, laughing, is a parody of a scene from the movie Planes, Trains and Automobiles. | Peter: Holy Crap! Evil Knievil gloves!
Evil Knievil is a famous daredevil known for his highly dangerous stunts. | SpongeBob SquarePants
The show Peter watches in the car is Spongebob Squarepants. Even more specifically, The Camping Episode. The animation and voices are from the actual episode. | Anchors Aweigh
The long scene with Stewie dancing with Gene Kelly was taken directly from the movie Anchors Aweigh, except Stewie replaces Jerry the Mouse. | Text on the Colorado Welcome Sign:
"Welcome to Colorado
More Than Just Kobe and Columbine"
The text on the Colorado welcome sign is a nudge at the fact that Colorado is well known, but not for good reasons. First for the fact that a young woman from Colorado, Katelyn Faber, accused NBA star Kobe Bryant of sexual assualt, leading to the star's public status downfall. Second, the Columbine shootings, in which two students from Columbine Highschool in Columbine, Colorado brought guns into school and killed several other students. |
