When a bully harasses Chris, Peter goes to his defense, but the kid is so annoying that Peter ends up beating him up. Meanwhile, Stewie goes out without sunscreen and becomes obsessed with getting a tan. After Brian accidentally leaves him in the tanning booth for six hours, Stewie gets sunburned and fears he has cancer. While waiting for the results of his cancer screening, Stewie begins to live his life as if he had only days to live and drives Brian crazy with his demands.

On the DVD version of the episode there's an extra scene that didn't air on FOX.
When Peter and Chris are sitting in the car waiting for Randy Fulcher, Peter imitates an anus by putting a snickers bar in his mouth, covering his head with his sweatshirt & slowly pushing the Snickers bar out of the opening.

| Cleveland wears a Richard Nixon mask to prevent people from knowing there's a black man at the country club. Nixon was the 37th President of the United States and the only President to ever resign from office.
| Britney Spears' parenting is questioned. Ironically almost a year after this episode aired, Britney lost visitation rights & custody of her 2 children.

Allusion to Groundhog Day, the holiday not the movie.
If the groundhog, named Punxsutawney Phil, emerges from his borrow and sees his shadow Winter will continue for 6 more weeks. If it doesn't see it, Spring will come early.
The joke (obviously) being Kyle is making Herbert's *ahem* “groundhog” emerge.

Reference to the 1984 film “Gremlins” starring Zach Galligan, Phoebe Cates & Corey Feldman.
The creature Peter is holding is named “Gizmo” and (as Lois said) one of the rules to owning a Mogwai was not feeding him after midnight.
The scene (clearly) differs from the movie because instead of “Gizmo” turning into the evil Mogwai named “Stripe”, he turns into Fran Drescher, the star of the CBS sitcom “The Nanny”.
The microwave inspired death of Fran Drescher is in fact the way one of the evil Mogwai's is killed in the movie.

Mega Blocks really are the same thing as Lego, however, Mega Blocks do come in different sizes.

The “THE END - A Peter Griffin Cartoon - Made In Hollywood, USA” end title card is an allusion to the ending of Warner Bros' “Merrie Melodies” cartoons where it would read “That's All Folks”. The scene even imitates the “Merrie Melodies” ending music.

Jim Henson started feeling ill around May 4th, 1990. He went to the doctor on May 12th but no evidence of pneumonia was found so he was simply sent home w/ some aspirin.
Early morning May 15th he suffered from shortness of breath and coughing up blood but still didn't want to go to the hospital.
Finally at 4am May 15th he went to the hospital where he suffered organ failure and eventually died on May 16th.
The two Muppets characters in the scene are Kermit the Frog and Swedish Chef both voiced by Jim Henson.
Fozzie Bear makes an appearance at the very end of the episode with a very deep voice.
However, he wasn't voiced by Jim, but by Frank Oz

The scene is identical, even the music.
