Paulie's blazer changes from being together, to torn apart after he meets Peter.

Apparently, the car Peter buys only has a drawing of an engine in it. However, Peter drives it a few feet before crashing. The car shouldn't have been able to move at all with only a drawing of an engine in it.

The new car appears to be a Sedan in one scene, yet in another it's obviously a Volkswagen Beetle.

The hubcaps on Peter's car have 5 spokes at first, then 6, then back to 5.

Peter is behind Lois, who is sitting on the couch, then Meg comes in to talk about her school play and he is suddenly on the couch next to her.

The episode title, “There's Something About Paulie”, is a take off of the title of the 1998 Ben Stiller (1965-) / Cameron Diaz (1972-) romantic comedy “There's Something About Mary”
