  Episode Notes
In this episode Peter begins his job as a fisherman.

The fisherman who built Daggermouth says that he is going to get a cartoon deal with Nickelodeon. The fisherman was voiced by Brian Doyle-Murray, which is coincidental, because he also voices the Flying Dutchman on Spongebob Squarepants.

Peter: Only until I go to the news stand and buy a Hustler.

Quagmire: Peter, I can remember a dozen times when you've saved our asses
(Peter walks through a door holding a sword, like in Pulp Fiction, to his friends tied up and gagged)
Peter: Yeah, too bad I got there after the sodomy.

Peter: What are you doing in my house?
Mr. Stevenson: Your house, this is my house. The bank just gave it to me.
Peter: What are you talking about? I still have until tomorrow to pay back the money.
Mr. Stevenson: The bank said it wouldn't matter, because your a dead beat loser.
Peter: A dead beat loser? Well sir, although I may not agree with what you are saying, I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

  Episode Goofs
Superfriends' Zan's superpower was the ability to transform into anything that was water-based, however Jana's superpower was the ability to transform into any animal. So, technically, she couldn't transform into a bucket.

We see Peter driving the same car Lois and Meg take to the spa before they even bring it back.

  Cultural References
Peter: Wilson! What are we going to do now?!

When Peter is talking to "Wilson"; that scene is similar to a scene in the movie "Castaway". When a man is stranded on an island, and his only friend is a Volley Ball named Wilson.

Quagmire: I remember when you saved all our butts.

The scene where Peter saves the gang is just like a scene from 'Pulp Fiction'.

Peter: Well, sir, while I may not agree with what you say, I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

This famous line was said by Voltaire, a famous frenchman.

Quagmire: Taylor Hanson.

Taylor Hanson was a member of the hit group "The Hansons".
