Episode Notes

When FOX showed this Episode on December 10th 2004, the Scene where Lois asks Quagmire for his keys was edited so it does not easily show Quagmire is pleasuring himself .

This episode was orginally not allowed to air on FOX due to its content, but was allowed to air after Cartoon Network aired it. Both versions have a line that's changed from the version on the volume 3 DVD set: during Peter's "I Need a Jew" song, the penultimate line of the song in the DVD version is "Even though they [the Jews] killed my Lord". On the FOX and Cartoon Network airings the line is changed to "I don't think they [the Jews] killed my Lord."

Episode Quotes

Cleveland: You're the white version of a black guy that's not good with his money.

Peter: Math. Math, my dear boy, is nothing more than the lesbian sister of biology.

Peter: That's what you said about that cloud insurance. Look at them up there...plotting.
(cut to a scene of two clouds with mouths)
Cloud 1: So Bill, we attack tomorrow.
Cloud 2: Yes...tomorrow
(pause)
Cloud 1: I mean it this time.
Cloud 2: I do too.

Peter: Chris is not as smart as you think he is...
(Peter slaps Chris in the back of the head)
Chris: HEY!
Peter: He did it.
(Peter points to a nearby floor lamp, and Chris attacks it and starts fighting with it.)

Chris: Dad, can you help me with my math? Mr Shackleford says if I don't learn it I won't be able to function in the real world.
(Cut to Chris with a map in his hand talking to a man at a Gas Sation)
Man: OK, now what you gotta do is go down the road past the old Johnson place. You're gonna find two roads, one parallel and one perpendicular. Now keep going until you come to a highway that bisects it at a 45-degree angle. Solve for x.
(Chris is now laying on the ground sucking his thumb)

Peter: If I'm a child that means you're a pedophile, and I'll be damned if i'm going stand here and take this from a pervert.

Chris: Can I go now? Stewie's gonna help me with my math homework.
Lois: Chris...he can't help you with your homework, he's just a baby!
Stewie: And I guess you're a Rhodes Scholar yourself. Where did you graduate from again, the University of DUH?!?!?
Max Weinstein: I'll help you with your homework son.
Peter: My God!!! Is there nothing you people can't do, except you know... manual labor???
Lois: What a horrible thing to say! They built the pyramids!

Stewie: No, no, no! I don't think so. It's not that I have ideological differences, I'm just not a hat person.

Nun: (grabs a ruler) Lock and load brides of Christ!

Episode Goofs

Peter, Lois, and Chris get onto the bus at the end of the episode, Peter takes off his kippah. Then when we see him again, his kippah is back on his head, and remains on for the remainder of the episode.

Brian and Chris are sitting on the couch, then after the cloud gag, they are gone.

Quagmire enters the Drunken Clam, and all of a sudden the bowl that was between Peter and Cleveland is gone!

The Drunken Clam sign only blinks 2 times instead of 3 in this episode.

The symbols on the dreidel that Peter rides around on aren't even close to the real Hebrew letters on the actual dreidel.

Cultural References

Meg: “Why won't you let me get laser surgery”
Lois: “Because I just don't think it's safe”

Luke Skywalker of the original “Star Wars” trilogy attempts laser eye surgery w/ his Light Saber but fails when Obi-Wan Kenobi convinces him to use the force.

Mark Hamill reprises his role as Luke from the movies as well as providing the voice for Kenobi

Ed McMahon: And the Winner.... Sinbad

This is a reference to an episode of Star Search, where comedian and Saturday Night Live alum, Dennis Miller, lost to Sinbad.

Stewie: Somewhere in the attic, there's a picture of you getting prettier.

In the novel "The Picture of Dorian Gray". The main character wishes a picture of himself in the attic would age rather than the real him. Stewie is implying that a picture of Meg in the attic is gettting prettier instead of the real her.
