Description:
If you like your animation to have a backbone, you'll love this collection of the first five hilarious seasons of “Family Guy”. Creator Seth McFarlane has developed a twisted town populated with bizarre characters that will seriously tickle your funny bone.
The main focus of the show is the Griffin family, consisting of idiotic father Peter, put-upon wife Lois, smart-yet-ugly daughter Meg, mentally-challenged son Chris and the hilarious homicidal baby Stewie. Sharing the family home is the martini-swilling, talking dog Brian who has a rather dodgy crush on the home's matriarch. It's certainly not your average family, but they provide a dangerously high quota of politically-incorrect and downright offensive humour that will have you entirely hooked. Their home town of Quahog is littered with larger than life characters that manage to be disturbing at the same time as recognisably mundane.
Sporting a unique brand of humour, the superb scripts combine intelligent satire, witty parodies, surrealist visual and low-brow scatological gags that create an entirely original animation show. Musical numbers and random fantasies and flashbacks punctuate the action, heightening the comedy and marking this show out as a one of a kind.
