Estelle Winslow, Carl's mother, moves into Carl's home. She immediately takes charge; bossing everyone around. It is the last straw when she criticizes Harriet. In the meantime, Eddie wants to go out with his friends, but Carl doesn't let him. Estelle allows him to go with his friends, despite Carl's orders.
The Winslows receive many debts. They must suffer many ordeals, especially after Harriette loses her job.
Rachel writes a story that somehow leads back to the Winslow family (similar characters.) In the meantime, Carl starts taking some drastic measures to keep the water bill intact.
Rachel accepts a date with a member of the church choir. This gives the Winslows some alone time.
Eddie receives his report card. Carl looks at it and finds out he got straight A's. This makes Eddie feel smart and Carl proud. Later, Eddie's friend Rodney comes over revealing that he switched the real report card with a fake one. It's up to Eddie to tell Carl the truth.
Carl wants to prove to his mother that he is a good handyman, so he decides to build her a shower while she's away. It's not as easy as it looks, especially since Carl truthfully isn't the best handyman around.
Carl gets to ride a classic car in a parade. Rachel wants to ride the car too; just to see how it works. She and Harriette decide to take it out for a ride, but they run into a tree and damage the car. They have to find a way to fix it before Carl notices.
Carl needs to go out on a stake-out with a partner for a case. Harriette doesn't trust his partner, so she decides to follow them and figure out if there's anything going on between them.
A TV star assaults Carl for asking him to move his car. Carl arrests him. This gives Carl a bad reputation afterward since the star is very popular. Can Carl clear this dilemma with his family and the rest of the city?
Carl thinks that Eddie's chance to make something of his life is to play basketball, so he starts pushing him to his limits with it. Later, Eddie gives up on it. Carl is upset about this, so he has Will "The Thrill" Morgan to try and convince him to come back.
At a yard sale, Laura wants to make some money off of old junk. Estelle gives her a few things, but tells her not to sell the heirloom quilt she gives her. Laura does it anyway, but she regrets that after making Estelle upset. Laura must now get it back. It's not an easy thing to do anymore.
Laura wants to go to a dance at school with somebody, but she doesn't know who to ask. Eddie asks one of his friends and Carl asks Steve Urkel, a very nerdy boy. Later, it's an embarrassing moment for Laura.
The kids bring home a puppy despite Carl's rule to never bring pets in the house. Carl reconsiders after falling in love with it. Later, the puppy wreaks havoc in the house.
Rachel tells Carl that his lemon tarts are delicious. He thinks he can make a lot of money off of it. But soon, he starts pushing the family too hard to make them.
Carl has a high school reunion, but is embarrassed about the weight he has taken on. He decides to go on a diet. It's not as easy as it looks for Carl.
Carl and Harriette go away for the weekend. They tell Eddie to not let anyone into the house. Eddie usually obeys, but his friend Rodney comes over with the idea for a party.
Steve decides to help Eddie with an exam in exchange for a date with Laura. He is successful with the tutoring, but not with the date.
Laura decides to open a babysitting service, but it's not as easy as it looks. The service gets the house flooded with kids on the same day as the visit of Carl's boss.
Steve needs to get rid of bully problems, so he asks Eddie for help. Eddie is reluctant to give help; He has a fear of hurting himself.
Eddie runs for class president. Later, he realizes he doesn't deserve it against the other candidate.
The men of the house play against the women in a bowling match; both want to win for their gender. Both sides use their own set of tactics to slow the other side down.
Eddie wants to make a rock video for his band for a contest, but he hogs all the attention in the video. This makes the other members leave the band. His family is disgusted by his action, so he decides to make it up by creating a video with all of the Winslows.
Steve and Laura get a job at Leroy's restaurant. Steve accidentally burns it down after cooking grease. Rachel makes some plans for the restaurant, but she needs money. Unfortunately for her, no one in the family has any money they can give her.
Steve thinks Rachel likes him when he finds a letter to someone named "Steve." Steve Urkel then finds himself in a "bind," so he decides to "call it off with Rachel."
Laura is stuck with Steve as a "married couple" for a school project. In the meantime, Carl and Harriette decide to go on a romantic date after not going out for awhile.
Carl and Harriette enter an old dance contest, but need to compete against old rivals.
Eddie hasn't passed his driving exam yet, but wants to impress a girl named Jolene. He takes the car without permission. While parking it in the driveway, he forgets to stop and destroys the living room by running into it. When Carl finds out, he is furious. Steve "sacrifices" himself by telling Carl that he did it.
Carl needs to go on another case, but also has to bring Steve along with him. They get trapped in a boxcar of a train filled with cows after being tricked.
Steve and Laura go out for Halloween. Later, they are held hostage by robbers after witnessing a bank robbery.
While Steve is away for awhile, his cousin Myrtle May Urkel comes to visit the Winslows. She immediately falls in love with Eddie, annoying him like Steve annoys Laura.
The Winslows' neighbor, Loretta, has her eyes on Carl. It doesn't bother Harriette too much; she knows Carl loves her. In the meantime, Laura has Steve go out with another girl to avoid him.
Laura decides to be Steve's science project partner. Later, she feels she is taking him for granted. She has a dream where Steve makes an A-bomb and destroys the city.
Steve wants to fight in a boxing match with a guy who'll beat up anybody that has anything to do with Laura for a dance. At first, he is doing fine, but the going gets tough. Can Steve survive, or will he be crushed to a cube?
Eddie gets hustled at a game of pool. He wants to play for his money back.
Steve destroys an ornament of Laura's on a Christmas tree. Because of this, he gets banned from the Winslow house for Christmas. In the meantime, Carl searches for a rare teddy bear for Richie; it has been sold out in nearly every store.
Carl, Eddie, and Steve go ice skating. Carl has an accident with the ice; Steve was able to save his life. In the meantime, Judy feels neglected because of Richie.
Eddie gets grounded. Without Carl's permission, he leaves the house for a date. Eddie needs to explain this to Carl.
Carl finds a diamond bracelet. He needs to decide between trying to find the owner and keeping it. In the meantime, Steve is stuck tutoring his rival.
Carl has a terrible fear of heights. He hopes to overcome it by riding a hot-air balloon. Steve joins him and Carl goes up in the air with him. In the meantime, Rachel and Harriette fight over a contest.
Steve decides to join a party. Everything is fine until two guys named Willie and Waldo spikes his drink. This makes him drunk and puts him on the edge of death. Rachel needs to go save him.
Eddie once again damages the car and needs money to fix it. Steve tells him that he can do some illegal gambling. They win thousands until they get caught. This gives them a lot of trouble.
Laura wants to promote African American history studies in her school. While going to her locker, she notices the word "nigger" tagged on her locker. Some people there still believe in racism. This discourages her.
Judy and Rachel make a cake, but Rachel takes all the credit for it.
Harriette and Rachel's father comes to visit the Winslows, a person they haven't seen for a very long time.
Lieutenant Murtagh wants a date with Rachel, but she doesn't want to. Carl thinks he can get a promotion if he can get Lt. Murtagh a date with her...

Steve begins sleepwalking, so he calls a hypnotist to fix that. He learns from the hypnotist that Carl actually hates him for something he did a long time ago.
Carl gets a younger partner. Laura gets a crush on him. She realizes later that he doesn't want to be with her. This makes Laura very upset, so Carl gives her a talk.
Steve has a beetle which Carl accidentally squishes. Carl feels he hasn't done anything wrong, but Steve feels otherwise. He takes Carl to Citizen's Court. The other members of the family serve as witnesses.
Steve creates a robot. It looks and acts just like him. Later, the robot gets out of control; it gets a "mind of its own."
Steve tries out for the basketball team. Unfortunately, he ends up as the equipment manager. In the meantime, Laura feels discouraged by cheerleaders who wouldn't go for her ideas. Steve tries to lift her spirits by telling about his problem.
The Winslows have a problem with a gang that destroyed Rachel's restaurant and hurt Eddie. Carl goes to arrest them. Before he does, Steve says he'll work as an undercover informant to get them to confess. He tries to get real evidence. This means dressing up like a thug.
Eddie is trying to be romantic for his dates, but Steve is always ruining it. Carl goes undercover for a case.
Laura decides to get rid of Steve from her life. Later, she regrets it, especially when she has a dream of being an old woman; she has nobody but Steve as her visitor.
Harriette gets a job at Rachel's restaurant. She acts very obnoxious, especially to the customers. In the meantime, Steve and Carl play poker. They lose nearly everything to Lt. Murtagh, but Steve does not give up.
Steve wants to join the choir at the Winslows' church, but Rachel doesn't allow him. Later, Rachel becomes power-hungry with her position in the choir. This makes everyone want to leave.
While Carl is asleep on the couch, a couple of men take away his things from the living room. This gives him a bad reputation with the police. In the meantime, Eddie is doing badly in chemistry, so he asks Steve to help him cheat for the next test.
Cousin Clarence visits the Winslow household. He immediately becomes a bad influence on Eddie. He, Eddie, and Steve get arrested for stealing a car. This makes Carl and Harriette upset. Harriette tries to give Clarence a lesson on discipline.
Estelle talks about the stories of her husband at Eddie's school; the stories are about what he did during World War II.
Steve joins Laura's economics class. It's not as easy as it looks, especially since the class is not a "piece of cake."
Laura breaks up with Ted. This allows Steve to go on the rebound with her for Valentine's Day. In the meantime, Richie meets a girl named Gwendolyn. She seems to like him more than just a friend; she tries to do everything she can to make him notice her.
Laura decides to run for student council president. Later, her rival wants to gather up some incriminating photos of her and pass it off as the truth. It's up to Steve to get her reputation back, even if it means stooping to the rival's level. In the meantime, Harriette is elected Neighborhood Watch Leader.
Steve wants to woo Laura by getting Johnny Gill to sing for her. He is able to get him in exchange for a rare baseball card. Laura is obligated to kiss Steve afterward, but he backs out because he feels he is forcing her to. Laura decides to give him a kiss anyway.
Waldo needs some romantic advice, so he asks Laura for some. He then falls in love with her. In the meantime, Estelle has bad driving skills. Carl and Lt. Murtagh get into a fight over that.
Steve stays over at the Winslow household. The Winslows think they should reconsider when: He accidentally swallows a fish, tells Richie to fight a bully, and makes Laura upset about driving away her study date.
Steve brings back Urkelbot for a life of crime patrol, but Carl has problems with having a robot a partner. In the meantime, Laura gets some new shampoo for the women of the house, but it makes them lose all their hair.
Eddie, Waldo, and Steve go on a game show called Dudes. Steve seems to be doing very well on the game. In the meantime, it's Carl's birthday, but no one seems to remember it.
Steve writes a story about Johnny Danger, a detective played by him to find out the cause of the murder of Aunt Rachel. The characters resemble the members of the Winslow family.
Steve and Carl are trying to get over a grudge, so they decide to go on a game show called American Gladiators. They must do death-defying stunts to see who is better.
Carl buys a car for Eddie, but it needs some tuning up. They decide to do it together, but Eddie feels like doing it with Waldo. Later, he gets some advice from Harriette. In the meantime, Steve invents a glue which gets him stuck to Laura.
Steve wants to go with Laura to a dance, but the only person she wants to go with is Ted.
Carl is feeling a lot of stress already, but it gets worse when he tries to teach Steve how to drive in his cramped Isetta. It is very dangerous to Carl's health.
Steve finds out that Ted is getting a better reputation by telling everyone that he made love with Laura. Steve wants him to stop it before it gets worse. It's hard for Laura to believe that; she thinks that Steve is destroying a relationship.
Steve has to go to the hospital for awhile, but he's not alone. Carl ends up going to the same hospital. The guy who shot Carl comes back to take revenge.
Eddie has to take Richie trick-or-treating, but a date comes along at the last minute. Eddie needs to choose between Richie and the date.
Waldo has been fed up with Eddie's insults, so he goes to join the Army. Eddie and Steve try to get him out, but they end up joining too. It's not as easy as it looks for the guys.
Steve wants just one date with Laura, but she won't give one to him. He decides to camp out on her roof until she does, but there is a snowstorm brewing. Eventually, Laura lets him in. In the meantime, Gwendolyn moves in next door to Richie.
Steve and Eddie decide to move into an apartment, but there are a few problems with it. It is time to live like a man...
Eddie's grades are slipping in a class. When his teacher questions him about it, he tells her that he has family problems. She decides to come over to find out. She comes at a very bad time though; everything she sees is a misunderstanding.
After Steve destroys one of Laura's things, she removes him from her life. This is where Laura's guardian angel shows up. He makes a scene showing each other's lives in both points of views; he shows Laura as Steve and vice-versa.
Eddie wants to date a girl, but Waldo and Weasel disapprove of her for some reason. Laura lets Maxine date Ted, but she later regrets it. Harriette feels insulted when Carl buys her fitness gear.
Eddie gets a scholarship to college for being a good athlete; that's all he has on his mind. In the meantime, Laura studies for an entrance exam to Harvard; she even skips sleep to do that.
Ted and Laura are fed up with Steve ruining all of their dates, so they hook him up with Ted's cousin Myra. She is a girl who likes brainy guys, but seems to like Steve a bit too much.
Eddie tries to sneak into an R&B singer's hotel room to get some concert tickets. In the meantime, Carl reads some surprising things in Harriette's diary; he thinks she's cheating on him.
Steve is Laura's Valentine. Meanwhile, Gwendolyn, who still has the hots for Richie, goes on a date with him arranged by Steve.
Eddie feels depressed after his girlfriend cheats on him. But soon, he feels otherwise when he, Waldo, and Steve get trapped on a fire escape; just barely escaping death. In the meantime, Estelle's boyfriend, Fletcher, proposes to her while they are out camping.
Carl feels anxious about his mother's wedding to Fletcher. In the meantime, Eddie throws a flyer party. He attracts more than 150 guests on the same day as the wedding.
Waldo goes on a date with Maxine thanks to Eddie and Laura. They find that they actually like each other. In the meantime, Richie wants to pull out a baby tooth.
Laura feels she is a "goody-two-shoes," so she decides to go to a male strip club along with Maxine and K.C. It would have gone fine if Harriette didn't find out.
Myra wants to know how to get Steve to like her more, so she asks Laura. In the meantime, Eddie wants to get a stereo from someone Weasel knows, but he later finds out it is stolen.
Laura has a prom date who doesn't like Steve very much. He wants Laura to forget all about Steve, jeopardizing their friendship.
Carl needs to get a part-time job, but the only place he can get one is at the Mighty-Weenie. When Eddie gets a promotion, he starts abusing his power, getting Carl infuriated. In the meantime, Steve's having a problem with choosing who to go steady with.
Carl looks for a toupee in order to impress Harriette. In the meantime, Myra joins Steve for lunch. She thinks that Laura is taking him away from her.
Laura needs to go to a cheerleading competition in Cincinnati, but she misses her bus. Steve decides to take her in his car, but she's very unpleasant company. Later, the car breaks down because of her, so they have to stay at a motel. It's the last straw for Steve when she takes the bed away from him, which gets him angry.
Carl goes unconscious one day after kicking Steve out of the house. Steve performs CPR on him; saving his life. The Winslows feel very much in debt to him. After awhile, it gets annoying to Steve, who feels too smothered by the attention.
Myra needs some more romantic tips, so she gets some from Eddie and Laura. She then decides to join Steve's school, but this gets Steve very annoyed. In the meantime, Harriette needs to make a tough decision with her boss, but gets fired. She needs to get her job back somehow.
Waldo and Weasel make some money gambling, so Eddie decides to try it too. When Eddie loses his money and is in debt, a man named Bones shows up to collect it. He doesn't look very happy.
Harriette decides to hang out with Laura's friends in order to look cool, but it makes Laura very embarrassed. In the meantime, Waldo gets a job at Mighty Weenie, but isn't doing a very good job of it.
Steve wants to play alongside Eddie in a basketball tournament, but Eddie wants to play with someone else. Steve decides to get someone named Grandmama to play with him. She gets him through the tournament and into the finals.
Steve decides to become a cool guy named Stefan Urquelle. He becomes the center of attention at a party, but he's also very conceited. This makes Laura miss Steve.
Laura wants to buy a car, but the car dealer is sexist. She needs a plan in order to get the car. In the meantime, Steve gets even closer to giving Eddie a bad reputation with dates.
Laura has a new boyfriend. He wants to make out with her at a drive-in, but this is against her will. In the meantime, Carl insults Harriette; getting her very mad.
Carl and Steve get stuck on a subway car along with some other unpleasant people when the train starts having problems. Steve needs to prove to them that Christmas is about peace and goodwill; how we should all be nice to everyone.
Steve starts feeling smothered by Myra. He ends up leaving her unhappy for the moment. In the meantime, Waldo thinks Maxine is with somebody else. This makes him look like an idiot when he finds out he was wrong.
Shanice, a hit singer, comes to visit Eddie. She gives him ideas of quitting school and joining her on tour. Meanwhile, it's Steve's birthday; no one comes to it except Laura.
When the guys at the boys' locker room find out that Eddie's a virgin, they all laugh at him. It's up to Eddie to set things right after a talk with Carl.
Eddie has been frequently getting tickets, but he always thinks of ways to get out of them. One day, he tells Carl about a cop pulling him over because he was "black in a white person's neighborhood." Carl goes over to the neighborhood to set things right. In the meantime, Richie is having a hard time going to the dentist. Steve tells him that there's nothing to be afraid of. Later, Steve finds out he has a cavity.
When an accident occurs in the school's chemistry lab, Steve is blamed for it. Laura decides to represent him in a school trial to clear things up; at the same time, trying to find the culprit.
When Carl lets Steve and Laura go bowling, he fears that Steve and Laura may go steady during that period of time. He goes to sleep having a dream that Steve and Laura are married; they have four kids.
Steve and Carl end up in the ring after the original wrestlers fall asleep by Steve's "snooze juice." The opponents fake the fight for most of the time. Later, they get serious; severely hurting Carl and Steve.
Eddie gets a scholarship. Everyone but Waldo is happy; he thinks he might never see him again. Later, Waldo finds out about a cooking school. In the meantime, Carl has a fear of failing; this can keep him from a promotion.
Steve gets robbed; subsequently developing hiccups.
Carl decides to go camping with Eddie and Waldo. Later, Steve joins. He warns Carl about the dangers of the forest, but Carl completely ignores.
Steve gets Myra unhappy; this makes her run away. Steve fears she has joined a nunnery, so he enlists Waldo and Eddie's help in order to get her back. This means dressing up like nuns at the nunnery.
Steve's Aunt Oona comes to visit. She looks and acts exactly like Steve. Harriette decides to give her a makeover. Later, Oona enters a contest in a karaoke bar. Meanwhile, Eddie is in debt with Carl.
Laura asks Steve to change back into Stefan Urquelle again, so he changes into Stefan using his transformation chamber. He goes on a date with Laura; he gets Freddy Jackson to sing to them. Later, he unexpectedly changes back in to Steve. This makes Laura upset. Steve makes a commitment: he will not rest until Stefan Urquelle is back forever.
Steve turns back into Stefan using the transformation chamber; Laura is pleased. However, Myra is not. In the meantime, Carl has a little vision trouble. He hopes to solve it by going through the transformation chamber...
Myra is still mad about the whole Stefan Urquelle ordeal, so she messes up the transformation chamber. It's up to Stefan to fix it, especially since Carl comes out as a nerd; looking and acting exactly like Steve.
Eddie goes off to college and moves into an apartment with Waldo. When Waldo is with two female guests, Maxine shows up. She believes he is cheating on her.
Steve and Carl go to check on Mr. Looney. He lives in the school bomb shelter. Accidentally, the door closes; it locks them inside. Carl feels depressed, but Steve and the janitor decide to make good of hard times.
Eddie and Steve want to get into a fraternity, so Eddie has a party in their apartment. It's going fine until Steve shows up. The fraternity doesn't like him that much. Now, Eddie must make the decision of staying with Steve or joining the fraternity.
The Winslows play a rousing game of Pass-the-Ghost-Story for Halloween.
Carl goes to play golf with his boss, but finds out that he's a cheater. Carl wants to tell him that, but he fears losing his job. In the meantime, Laura stays past her curfew and gets Harriette worried.
Steve is in a swimming class, but he doesn't know how to swim. He becomes very discouraged when he finds out he can't graduate without learning how to swim. He decides to ask Carl for help.
Steve is at Paradise Bluff. In the meantime, Harriette doesn't think Carl is doing a good job at barbecuing.
Carl wants to go to a convention in Detroit, but he has to go somewhere with Laura on the same day. He decides to share a charter airplane with Steve. Later, he finds out that the pilot is a criminal; his plan is leaving them to die on the plane. Carl and Steve must learn how to land the plane before they fall to their untimely deaths.
Richie finds a homeless person on the streets. He decides to bring him to the Winslow home to spend Christmas there.
Carl finds out that his boss's new girlfriend is a stripper, but he doesn't have the courage to tell his boss that. In the meantime, Eddie and Steve eat Waldo's midterm project. They need to make a new one before he notices.
Steve still has problems with bullies at school. He decides to get back at them, but then he learns that Andre, their leader, has leukemia. Everything changes after that when Steve starts a drive to help Andre in the hospital; he tries to save his life despite what Andre's done to him.
Laura is offended one night at a bar, and poor Steve can do nothing. He decides to go through the transformation chamber to turn into a Bruce Lee-type person; it is to win back Laura's honor. In the meantime, Eddie feels upset when Carl decides to hang out with Waldo instead of him.
Laura starts having problems with a girl at school; she beats her up and takes her things. Later, Laura is threatened by her with a gun. She thinks about buying one afterwards, but then her friend Josie gets shot.
After his bride walks out on him on his wedding day, Mr. Looney decides to commit suicide. It's up to Steve and Carl to convince him that life is worth living. In the meantime, Laura wants to go to a Seal concert and Eddie wants to go to Canada. When her parents let Eddie go and doesn't allow Laura, she feels they're being too overprotective of her. It actually has to do with sexism.
Steve wants to go to MIT, but needs to get smarter. He decides to change into Albert Einstein through the transformation chamber. He accidentally winds up turning into Elvis Presley.
Laura and Steve decide to throw a surprise party for Myra, but Myra thinks that Laura's trying to steal Steve from her. In the meantime, Richie tries to convince his friends that Carl's job is an interesting job.
After Steve makes a rescue at the supermarket from a robber, Carl feels he is losing his touch as a cop. Steve is in trouble now; he needs a bodyguard. Carl serves as his bodyguard. In the meantime, Eddie meets his boss's daughter, Greta. Unfortunately for him, this gets him into a lot of trouble with his boss.
Laura goes off unescorted to Omaha for the cheerleader championships along with a boy named Gary. Steve feels that he is just trying to be with Laura.
The Winslows go to therapy to find out how much Steve has changed their life.
Steve is a finalist in the inventor's contest in Orlando, Florida. He decides to take the Winslows with him. He changes into Stefan with his transformation chamber, but the chamber breaks because of Laura. He stays as Stefan for a couple of days; he eventually proposes to Laura. In the meantime, Carl becomes obsessed about Disney World.
Myra figures out there's something wrong with Steve, so she decides to go to Orlando to check it out. She finds out that Stefan and Laura are engaged. In the meantime, Harriette convinces Carl to move back. Eddie and Waldo have yet to reach Orlando...
The Winslows start a dance marathon to raise money for the old folk's home.
For some reason, Steve's parents moved away to Russia without telling him. Steve decides to move in with Eddie and Waldo.
Steve and Carl both shrink because of the transformation chamber.
Laura and Steve accidentally see each other naked while in the same shower. In the meantime, Carl is supposed to hold a bracelet for someone else, but Harriette finds it and thinks it's hers.
Steve has a crush on someone else, but is afraid he might be cheating on Myra. In the meantime, Harriette and Carl play poker with an obnoxious person named Nick.
Steve becomes substitute English teacher for awhile, but it's not as easy as it looks. In the meantime, Harriette thinks Carl is too lazy with housework, so she hires people to do it for him.
Eddie gets in trouble with Greta's father again; this time for bringing her home past her curfew. He uses Steve to pretend to be the new boyfriend, but Steve gets in trouble as well. In the meantime, Estelle and Carl get in trouble with the IRS.
Myrtle May Urkel is back after Steve goes to Russia for awhile; she fights with Greta for Eddie.

Myra and Laura compete for the same job at Ferguson's. In the meantime, Steve gets struck by lightning three times.
Steve is put in charge of the homecoming parade float. Unfortunately, Steve destroys it. The volunteers reminisce about how much fun they had building the float. In the meantime, Estelle does many activities that Carl feels is dangerous for her in her age.
Carl and Steve enter rooftop decorating contests. Harriette is worried that Eddie and Laura might not be able to spend Christmas with them.
Steve wants to learn how to ride a bicycle, but Carl refuses to teach him. Steve tries it himself, nearly getting killed in the process. In the meantime, Laura thinks that Maxine's idea of a cosmetology school is wrong.
Waldo gets arrested in Porto Santo; the other guys try to get him out. In the meantime, Harriette wants Laura to date a mystery boy she likes, but Laura wants to go out with "someone else."
One of Laura's friends thinks she's too heavy, so she gets some diet pills. Steve accidentally takes them; he gets very stimulated.
Carl and Steve need to catch a couple of hoodlums, but Steve decides to use his inventions. In the meantime, Laura gets a "nose" ring; Harriette is not happy.
Eddie has been having a lot of drinking problems lately, so Carl makes a rule about it. He decides that Eddie can only drink if he's responsible. In the meantime, Steve damages the Winslow house with one of his inventions again. He needs to make the money for it by playing jazz piano as Stefan Urquelle.
Eddie and Greta do the ballet "Swan Lake." Later, Myrtle comes back; she steals the show away from Greta. In the meantime, Harriette starts feeling old when Laura's boyfriend thinks she's her grandmother.
Steve signs up as a Big Brother to a boy named 3J. In the meantime, Carl finds Harriette's secret savings account.
Steve makes a love potion for Laura. In the meantime, Carl and Harriette plan a second honeymoon in Nassau.
Waldo is doing terribly in basketball, so he takes tap-dancing lessons to improve it. In the meantime, Laura does anything she can to get into Harvard. Later, she finds out that her parents can't pay for it.
Eddie and Waldo get scammed. Meanwhile, Steve invents a super-glue.
Laura's date cancels on her. She is left with Steve; also dateless.
Carl gets a part in a movie, but there's a catch: he must kiss another woman. Carl feels very uncomfortable with this; he only loves Harriette.
Steve learns how to clone people. Trouble arises for the Winslows when he clones himself...
Steve, Stefan, and the Winslows travel to Paris. Steve develops a crush on his associate Nicole; Stefan becomes a model; Eddie has to work through vacation.
Nicole turns out to be a spy. She wants Steve's invention called the "UrkPad." He is held hostage by her and her cousin. Steve needs to make another "UrkPad" to live.
After Carl finds out about Steve being held hostage, he springs into action and goes to rescue him...
Steve goes to college and begins to settle down. He then remembers Myra and his family, whom he misses dearly.
3J moves into the Winslow household, but the Winslows start taking him for granted. After learning about this, 3J runs away. In the meantime, could Laura be outgrowing Stefan?
Greta gets a part-time job. This means spending less time with Eddie.
Steve has a dummy that looks just like him. Later, the dummy comes alive; it wants to kill Steve.
Steve becomes the playground supervisor, but has trouble with some gangsters there. Later, they come back for revenge and hurt 3J. Steve and the boys go to fight back by use of the transformation chamber.

Eddie wants to win a prize on a game show, but he needs to make himself smarter. He uses Steve's transformation chamber to become a "nerd."
Carl makes extremely sexist jokes about women and poker. Harriette decides to play to prove him wrong. In the meantime, Steve takes Eddie's job at the ballpark while Eddie's away. Unfortunately, Steve loses Eddie's job.
Eddie gets himself into a lot of trouble dating an older woman. In the meantime, Carl's homeowner insurance increases a lot because of Steve. Steve feels upset, but Carl is able to "compromise" with the insurance agent.
Aunt Oona returns, but has put on a couple of pounds. She wants to get rid of them using Steve's invention: the fat compressioner.
Carl's brother Frank gets in trouble with the law. He goes to the Winslow household for help.
Steve once again uses his time machine. This time, it sends him and Carl to a pirate ship.
Steve gets a makeover for a kissing auction from Laura's sorority. In the meantime, Carl feels degraded by Harriette's success at her job. He gets another part-time job, but it's not doing much for him.
Steve tags along with Carl and the commissioner to take pictures of ducks with his camera. In the meantime, Laura "borrows" Harriette's earrings so she can look good at a club.
Myrtle returns for a debutante ball; she asks Eddie to take her. Later, Myrtle gets hit by a truck. In the meantime, Laura wears some attractive clothes that Carl disapproves of.
Laura drinks beer, and another, and another, and so on until she's heavily drunk. That night, she and Steve share a kiss. In the meantime, Carl and Harriette share their different anniversary plans with Eddie. When they tell each other, they get into an argument. It's up to Eddie to make things right.

Steve becomes a chef at a Japanese steakhouse. Meanwhile, Carl takes care of the commissioner's parrot. The parrot says some offensive words about the commissioner influenced by Carl.
Myra breaks up with Steve. This breaks his heart, but he decides to go chase Laura again. Myra then realizes she made a mistake, so she decides to go after Steve again. In the meantime, Eddie quits school and decides to become a cop like Carl.
Myra and Stefan team up to ruin Steve's date with Laura. In the meantime, Eddie trains with Carl to become a cop.
Steve finds out that Myra's not only been spying on him, but also dressing like Laura. In the meantime, Harriette finds out a terrible secret about her wedding ring.
Greta and Myrtle fight for Eddie's affections. In the meantime, 3J wants to know who his real mother is.
Eddie gets a new apartment. He invites Carl; he starts freeloading off of Eddie. In the meantime, Steve and Laura go to a polka fest. Laura is amazed to discover that Steve is a big part of the polka community.
Maxine gets a new boyfriend. He is rich, but Laura doesn't like him that much.
Myrtle still wants Eddie. Unfortunately for her, he doesn't want her. Laura and Maxine decide to give Myrtle a makeover.
Steve and Stefan both propose to Laura. Who will she choose? Who will she risk losing forever?
