Jennifer has a crush on her lab partner Tim Higgins, the school's star baseball player. She learns that she must dumb down to his level if she is ever to get Tim interested in her. But this backfires when both Tim and Jennifer fail a science test and he is kicked off the team. Meanwhile, Nick is being investigated by the IRS for back taxes and asks for help from Alex to straighten this out.
