Pilot [Voice], played by Lani Tupu
The species, known as Pilots, are incapable of space travel themselves; the only way they can travel and explore space is to form a symbiotic bond with a Leviathan, a living, biomechanoid ship. Pilot, as he is known, was forced by the peacekeepers into this relationship with Moya resulting in a lot of pain till the misfit crew aboard Moya can help the two blend naturally.
Pilots are very gifted in that they possess amazing regenerative abilities and extremely heightened multi-tasking abilities, which is useful when flying a living ship, co-ordinating hundreds of DRDs aboard the ship and talking to the crew. Pilots are at their most content when serving others, as this Pilot is, trusting their judgement, although this led to a series of events which resulted in Pilot losing one of his four arms. Thankfully, due to a pilot's natural ability to regenerate very quickly, he was able to regrow his arm.
Through Pilot's relentless service, he and the crew of Moya evade the Peacekeepers at all costs. |
