Episode Notes
Richard Sydenham, who played Cobb, would later appear as the tough Dock Sergeant in "The Matrix Revolutions".

Kent McCord shot his scenes for "Nerve" during the visit to Sydney he made to film "A Human Reaction".

John Crichton refers to Abbott and Costello's Who's on First? - their best known comedy routine. It can be seen in their 1945 film The Naughty Nineties.

Director Rowan Woods has always maintained that he was asked to handle the Earth episodes in the first two seasons because he wasn't familiar with the clich├ęs of science fiction, and would therefor approach the material with a fresh eye.

Rockne S O'Bannon joked online that Aeryn's final line to Ancient Jack as she and Crichton leave the apartment was "Can you get me Marty Milner's autograph?" - a reference to Kent McCord's onscreen parter in the long running series Adam 12.

Aeryn's Sebacean speech may sound like a backwards recording but was actually created live on set by Claudia Black. (Listen to the DVD commentary for more examples.)

The helicopters were created digitally by Garner McLennan Design to match the Black Hawks that Rowan Woods wanted for the episode.

Each of the Ancient pod aliens was about nine feet tall, while the insect-like alien was a rod puppet. The controls were removed digitally.
