Episode Notes

Those aren't all computer generated sets. A full-size courtyard was built on the Farscape lot for this episode, complete with sand and giant statue.

The makeup for General Grynes was loosly based on a "lion man" version of Sean Connery.

Ben Browder wrote the name "Andy" on the sole of the Scorpius clone's cowboy boots in homage to the movie Toy Story.

"Home on the Range" is played by series composer Guy Gross, who was tought to play the harmonica when he was a child by his father.

Marshall Napier, who plays General Grynes, previously appeared as Draco in the Australian SF drama The Girl from Tomorrow, as well as playing the "Chairman of the Judges" in 1995's Babe.

Jool's behaviour in this sequence was suggested by Tammy MacIntosh, who thought that being drunk was a good side-effect for the urine to have.

Director Peter Andrikidis has said that the episode reminded him of the Back to the Future film trilogy featuring Michael J. Fox, although with a much darker twist.

Peter Andrikidis returned to Farscape to direct this episode, after helming "The Flax" in Season 1.

During the filming of this sequence, Wayne Pygram mimed playing the harmonica. He didn't know which piece of music would be used until he saw the finished episode.

The scenes on the castle battlements really were high above the studio floor. Ben Browder and Marshall Napier shot their scene about fifteen feet in the air.
