Episode Notes
Originally, the aliens were going to be the size of refrigerators, and the crew would be captured by being placed inside them.

David Kemper came up with the twist of giving the Coreeshi a miniaturization ray, which solved many of the episode's practical problems. For a start, we'd still be able to see the crew when they were captured instead of being hidden away.

The scene with Aeryn on the DRD had to be shortened when Claudia Black became ill, and was unable to shoot more of it.

Creature Shop Supervisor Dave Elsey coined the term "Brain Scarran" for the new breed of Scarran in this episode. They come from a different caste of Scarrans who are clearly more intelligent than those seen so far.

Duncan Young's voice is digitally altered for his role as Axikor. When the producers saw how well Young coped with the make up, they cast him in a major role later in the season, changing his voice now so his real voice could be used later.

Duncan Young is the brother of Bruce Young, Director of Photography for Farscape's "B" Unit. Bruce Young joined the crew only for the fourth year.

The flashing eye lights which identify which Bounty Hunter is speaking were inspired by the "Daleks" on the long-running British sci-fi series, Doctor Who.

Both Ben Browder and Wayne Pygram objected to the original plan for Crichton to give Scorpius a loaded weapon. The Lethal Weapon humor between them was developed by Browder and Pygram on the set.

There were major discussions between the Creature Shop and the safety officers to ensure that the weapons carried inside the Coreeshi's gloves could not cause any real harm on the set.
