Episode Notes
The exterior sequences were filmed in Sydney suburb of Sylvania Waters, famous for being the home of one of the first "fly on the wall" documentaries shown on British television.

There was considerable debate whether to use the footage of the Challenger explosion, but the producers decided to go ahead since the audience is seeing what is in John Crichton's mind.

Ben Browder recalls that Jamie Croft, who was playing the younger Crichton would ask him for advice on how to read the lines as Crichton.

Crichton previously referred to losing his virginity to "Karen Shaw" in the back of a 4x4. It wasn't quite what is seemed.

Amy Salas, who played Skreeth, had previously appeared on Farscape as Tauza, the female Scarran in "Incubator, " Season 3's Scorpius backstory episode.

Ben Browder hoped that Scorpius and Braca would engage in a open-mouthed, "Roman kiss" when Braca reaffirms his allegiance to his master.

Justin Monjo had finished his script for "Kansas" long before David Kemper wrote the preceding episode, and nagged Kemper to ensure that the two tied up.

The owner of the stunt car driven by D'Argo was not impressed with Anthony Simcoe's driving, or the numerous retakes that were needed.

Carmen Duncan previously played Leslie Crichton in the hallucinations that John Crichton experienced at the claws of the Scarrans in "Won't Get Fooled Again."

Although he has played the Ancient assuming Jack Crichton's body, this is the first time that Kent McCord had played the real Jack Crichton since the "Premiere" episode four years earlier.
