|In its first and only season, Fastlane saw the partnership of Van Ray and Deaqon Hayes after Van's partner and Deaq's brother, Andre, was gunned down while undercover. Lt. Wilhemina "Billie" Chambers recruits them to be apart of a division of the LAPD that tries to go the deepest undercover and take down the most untouchable criminals. Everything they seize, they keep. Everything they keep, they use. All this high end merchandise is stored in what has become Billie's office, a warehouse known as The Candy Store.|
Van and Deaq begin taking down drug lords, heads of the largest gangs, and other degenerates that think that they are above the law. In the process they start to find out about a past that Billie would like nothing more than to keep buried there.
Van and Deaq must come to grips with their own families and how they are affected by them and how they affect their families as well. Van's father, Raymond Ray, helps in one case while on a furlough from prison, but when he gets paroled, starts to go against Van's wishes and pursues his old habits. Deaq must now start to deal with his brother's death when Andre's birthday comes rolling around.
They also start to find love in all the wrong places. Van has a problem falling for the mark and none more than a cute blond they let go, but pops up again stealing from a mob boss. Deaq on the other hand, begins to get close to one of Billie's friends much to her dismay.
The Candy Store in turn finds itself under the microscope from an internal affairs agent that would like nothing more than to shut down the whole operation. Billie, Van, and Deaq must watch what they do and not give him a reason to bust down the door with a SWAT team.
The season/series ends on a cliffhanger when a diamond heist goes bad.
