1 :01x01 - Episode 101 (Aug/06/2007)
Overweight contestants trek more than 570 miles, from Massachusetts to Washington, D.C., for a chance to share a $1.2 million prize. The 12 walkers, who also vie in reward challenges, can vote each other off the march---but their shares of the prize shrink by $10,000 per castoff if they do. In the opener, the participants begin their trek. The first challenge: picking cranberries in a Massachusetts bog. Then it's on to Rhode Island and Connecticut.
 
2 :01x02 - Episode 102 (Aug/13/2007)
The 10 remaining marchers battle aches, pains and blisters as they trek from Willimantic to New Haven, Conn. There's also battling among marchers, especially between Anthony and Will, and everyone seems to be on the outs with Chantal. There's a water-hauling challenge to test the contestants, and at dinner there are chicken fingers and pizza to tempt them.
 
3 :01x03 - Episode 103 (Aug/20/2007)
Ten remaining trekkers slog their way from New Haven, Conn., to New York City. It's no cakewalk for anyone, but Matt's knees are buckling, and Will and Anthony are tussling. Then there's a side trip...to a hospital. At Rye, N.Y., the march stops for a clam-digging challenge, and there's a surprise in the Big Apple at the end.
 
4 :01x04 - Episode 104 (Aug/27/2007)
With 230 miles under their belts, the nine remaining trekkers depart Millstone, N.J., bound for Philadelphia in the warmest weather yet. The first stop on their roundabout route is Lancaster County, Pa., where they face an “Amish challenge”: harvest cabbages under a blazing sun. They must also climb a 25-foot telephone poll. And there's a third challenge: those tempting cheese steaks in Philadelphia.
 
5 :01x05 - Episode 105 (Sep/03/2007)
In Pennsylvania, the eight remaining marchers battle steep hills and climbing temperatures. They also take on a “farmer's market challenge,” a scavenger hunt tied to good nutrition. And at a fork in the road, they have a choice: walk around a lake or cross it in a canoe. Meanwhile, a romance between two marchers affects all eight (and not in a good way).
 
6 :01x06 - Episode 106 (Sep/10/2007)
In the season finale, the six remaining marchers trek through Maryland toward the finish line in Washington, D.C. On the way, they must endure one 26.2-mile spurt and their last challenge, at a strawberry farm. Clouding the proceedings: Upset with Loralie and Chantal for having ousted Anthony, Jami Lyn and Michael plan drastic action.
