Father Ted, Dougal and Jack go on holidays to a caravan park. Their holiday excitement is limited when they find out that the place only has two places of interest. Things get even worse when they keep meeting the same two people in very awkward places.

A leaky roof is threatening to collapse on the three Fathers, so they decide to hold a raffle in order to raise money for the roof. After Ted accidentally destroys the car they have been given for a prize, he must then go and rig the raffle so that Dougal wins the car and no one is any wiser.

During Lent, Father Dick Byrne tells Father Ted that they are making sacrifices for Lent, so Father Ted decides to outdo them by giving up smoking, forcing Father Jack to give up drinking and making Dougal give up riding his bike. In order to help them keep their Lenten promises they hire a nun to help them. How long can they keep their Lenten promises and what is Dick Byrne really up to?
