April 28, 2010

Stan addresses his agents and warns them that the day they catch up with their flashforward visions is upon them. He warns that they may very well come under attack the next evening but they will remain open for business. After the briefing, Mark gives Stan an update on the search for Simon, but admits they don't have much.

When Mark and Stan arrive in the conference room, they find Vogel watching a broadcast of Suspect Zero. Mark realizes that it's different footage than the video they have, and they wonder why someone else is leaking footage to incriminate Simon.

Simon takes refuge at a bar and memorizes his phony ID papers. Lita, Janis' recruiter, comes over and tells him she knows who he is. She says that her superiors want to meet with him and he reluctantly goes with her.

At the office, Demetri is trying to determine where the news director obtained the Suspect Zero footage when he finds Zoey at his desk. She suggests they leave for Hawaii for their marriage and avoid the upcoming day. Demetri insists that he has to help his friends, who are equally at risk. Zoey insists that for once, he should think of the two of them and shows him the tickets she's already bought. Demetri insists it isn't fair and continue with his investigation.

Olivia brings in Gabriel for the debriefing, and Gabriel starts readjusting Mark's Mosaic board, insisting it isn't right and comparing it to the sketches he made from his flashforwards. Olivia explains that Gabriel was the subject of multiple flashforwards by Frost, and Mark says they'll have to debrief him. When Olivia tries to go, Gabriel panics and she agrees to stay with him.

Vogel sets up a secret meeting at a bar with Janis, who informs him that she's been ordered to murder Mark and she needs to get out. Vogel warns her that there is no getting out, and if she does back out, they'll kill her and send someone else to kill Mark. He suggests she find something big to give them instead of Mark.

Demetri talks to Janis and explains that he's been trying to get hold of her to talk about the fact she's having his baby. Janis insists that he has nothing to do with any decisions she makes about the baby, and that he should enjoy his second chance with Zoey.

Mark informs Olivia that he's increased the security at their house in anticipation of Charlie's flashforward of the men outside on the night of April 29. They go back to Mark's office and Gabriel tells Mark that he has to make the board right.

In Afghanistan, Aaron and Kahmir locate one of the Jericho Corporation's secret camps, Joshua, and take surveillance photos. Kahmir explains that the U.S. government uses Jericho as a shadow army to quietly carry out their less reputable policies. Once Aaron uploads the photos to Stan, he prepares to get Tracy back.

Simon and Lita end up at a hotel room. After they get done with sex, they watch the broadcast of Suspect Zero on the news, and the confirmation that Simon is Suspect zero. Lita informs Simon that Hellinger is his boss, the person who paid for Simon's schooling and made sure he had everything Simon needed. Simon demands to meet with her superiors and Lita agrees, and explains she's there to keep Simon there. Hellinger arrives to meet with Simon.

Mark and the others debrief Gabriel, who explains that his dead friend Kent, a savant, was at Raven River. Nhadra was also there. They figure that Somalia is an alpha test, but Vogel suggests that October 6 was the beta test and the next Blackout will be the big one. They try to get information from Gabriel, who explains that Frost and another man, who Gabriel calls "Big Guy," ran the experiments at Raven River. He shows them a sketch of the man, and Mark asks Gabriel to tell him everything he knows. Demetri arrives and Gabriel panics, insisting that Demetri is supposed to have died on April 15, and if he doesn't die, things will work out incorrectly.

Hellinger shares a drink with Simon and tells him that it's time for him to join the organization full-time. He warns that Simon has nowhere else to go now that he's wanted as Suspect Zero. Simon figures they've already done the worse they can, killing his father and framing him as Suspect Zero, but Hellinger warns that eventually they'll cut their losses and kill him. Simon realizes that he's bluffing, and that they need him to alive to calibrate the accelerator and create the next Blackout. He tells Hellinger that he'll inform him when he's made his decision and leaves.

As Mark and Demetri start a search for Big Guy, Demetri admits that he's bothered by Gabriel's claim that he's supposed to die. He wonders if his being alive might screw up destiny, but Mark insists that he's alive and should stay that way. However, Mark watches as Lloyd comes in and talks with a happy Olivia. Gabriel is glad to see Lloyd and Olivia together. When Lloyd says that he's having problems with his equations, Gabriel tells him that he and Olivia have to work together and become part of the equation.

Stan gets Aaron's footage and assures him he's got what they need. When Aaron says he's going after Tracy, Stan advises him to wait but Aaron insists on rescuing his daughter. He spots Tracy as two men take her out of the camp and haul her away in a truck, and goes after them with Kahmir and his men.

Janis meets Carline at a laundromat. Carline warns that she's running out of excuses and Janis needs to follow orders and kill Mark before the next night. When Janis admits she's got nothing on Mosaic, Carline tells her that if she goes back empty-handed, her superiors will execute Janis. Janis responds by telling her handler that the FBI has Gabriel and he's telling them everything. Carline accepts Janis getting her Gabriel.

Mark's team prepares to move Gabriel and Janis discusses safehouse locations. She warns that Gabriel will go berserk again if he's separated from Olivia. Stan talks to Olivia outside while Mark meets with Gabriel and asks him what he sees in the future. Gabriel admits that he sees loose ends, and Mark sympathizes. He then asks about Gabriel mentioning Olivia Simcoe, and Gabriel says that's what he sees, and he's been waiting a long time. He assures Mark that no matter what, Olivia will be safe.

Aaron, Kahmir, and Kahmir's men follow the two Jericho mercenaries to a field. When they prepare to execute Tracy, Aaron takes them both down with a sniper rifle and goes to get his daughter.

After viewing Aaron's footage, Stan calls President Segovia and tells him that he has information on Joshua Base. Segovia denies any knowledge of Joshua and Jericho, and Stan informs him he's going to turn the evidence over to Vice President Clemente. The President turns formal and says that he didn't think the call would ever come from Stan, and then hangs up. Stan calls Clemente.

Demetri and Vreede prepare Gabriel and take him out to the van to move him to the safehouse. Janis then calls her people and tells them the route. Once she's done, she goes to the restroom and considers herself in the mirror.

Demetri and Vreede drive the van with Gabriel to the safehouse. After one incident, a truck blocks them off and the driver opens fire while other mercenaries pull up behind them. They get to the van, open the door, and remove Gabriel... only to discover it's Mark in disguise. He shoots down one of the men and captures the other, and then tells the captive to call Big Guy and tell him they have Gabriel.

Kahmir and his men get Tracy back to the truck. Aaron wants them to take Tracy to a military hospital and overrides Kahmir's objections that it's too dangerous.

The van arrives at Hellinger's base of operation. When Mark gets out, still disguised as Gabriel, the captive driver signals Hellinger. He runs to the control room and hastily wipes the computer files. Mark arrives and captures Hellinger, but only catches a brief glimpse of Simon on a computer screen before the data is eradicated. Mark demands answers but Hellinger refuses to talk.

Simon goes to get the hidden QED ring.

Back at FBI headquarters, Janis is leaving for the night when Mark approaches her and demands to know who she's working with. Janis tells him that she's working with Vogel and the CIA since they recruited her at Quantico. He explains that he suspected her since she set up Marcie, and then when she went to the pet shop. When Vogel and Janis insisted beforehand that there was signal traffic about the abductors that no one else had heard of, Mark became more suspicious. Finally, he used Gabriel to set her up to betray herself when she gave the route. Janis says that she's been living a lie for years and can't have any friends or fall in love because no one knows her. She insists she was doing her job and Mark sympathizes, but warns that no one will get past the deception. Janis notes that he's doing the same thing, giving up his family to stop the next Blackout. Mark refuses to ask if it's worth it, because there's too much at stake. As Mark goes, Janis asks him to let her tell Demetri herself.

Janis tells Demetri about her role as a triple-agent, and Demetri wonders how her pregnancy affects him. She explains that she needed a way out and should have done better by him, but it's hers. Demetri warns that they're all connected, but Janis says that he needs to let it go and devote his time to Zoey. He points out that it's too late.

Demetri visits Gabriel at the safehouse. They talk about cartoons and then Demetri asks him if he was in any of the flashforward that Gabriel had. Gabriel warns that Demetri dies in all of them, and that no one can change the future. He figures that everyone ends up where they're supposed to be. Demetri admits that it makes sense and Gabriel agrees.

Kahmir gets Aaron and Tracy to the field hospital, and Aaron realizes it's the hospital in his flashforward.

Janis returns home and discovers that Simon is waiting for her with a gun. He tells her that he's there to get her help.
