Though East Dillon High School is mentioned there is no footage of the school except for the football field, locker room and Eric Taylor's office.

Though new cast member Jurnee Smollette is in the opening credits, she does not appear in this episode.

Because of this, it is easy to see in some scenes where there are close ups of the new East Dillon Lions, that their jerseys are Nike jerseys, with the "Swoosh" emblem covered up on them with a white patch on the players right side.
