1 :01x01 - Pilot

Newly-appointed head coach Eric Taylor has the chance of a lifetime as he leads the promising Dillon High School football team into their highly-anticipated season. In Dillon, Texas, winning the state football championship is the one thing on everyone's mind, and with this season's team, Coach Taylor might be able to make that happen.

2 :01x02 - Eyes Wide Open

In the aftermath of Street's career-ending injury, the town of Dillon copes with the reality of the injury through prayer. Pressures and stresses begin to mount for Coach Taylor when he has to put the fate of the season on second-string quarterback, Matt Saracen. As Coach Taylor tries to pull the team together during this difficult time, as well as work with a nervous Matt, Lyla stands by Jason by being the support he needs to recover. Lastly, as game day approaches, the team comes together and vows to win one for Street.

3 :01x03 - Wind Sprints

Following a difficult loss to the Milbank Rattlers, the town begins to turn against Coach Taylor, which causes team morale to plummet. Meanwhile, Jason begins to rehab, but his high emotion and frustration puts Lyla into the arms of another. Elsewhere, seedy deals are made to recruit a new quarterback, Ray "Voodoo" Tatum, as Coach Taylor begins to realize that he may need to take drastic measures to save his job and the season.

4 :01x04 - Who's Your Daddy

Dillion prepares to go up against their biggest rival with Coach Taylor struggling to find a way to bring the team together while his family begins to unravel. Smash and Riggins get together to retaliate against the Tigers for their destruction of their field house. Street gives up hope until his roommate at the rehab center gets him to realize his potential. While new quarterback Voodoo continues to be unstoppable on the field, second string quarterback, Matt Saracen, hits rock bottom. As the big game approaches, Coach Taylor has an opportunity to save his reputation and job if the Panthers can pull out a win.

5 :01x05 - Git 'Er Done

With the game against the Tigers looming, Coach Taylor begins to feel the mounting pressure. Taylor is forced to choose the starting quarterback -- either rookie Matt Seracen or new recruit Voodoo Tatum. Meanwhile, things heat up between Riggins and Lyla and Jason finds the motivation he needs in an unlikely source.

6 :01x06 - El Accidente

The Panthers are frustrated after having their key win over Arnett Mead overturned by Tatum's recruitment. As practice drags on, police interrupt to arrest Bobby Reyes after he assaults another student. Meanwhile, the Texas High School Athletic Administration questions Buddy Garrity and Coach Taylor; Riggins and Lyla spring Street out of rehab for a night on the lake; and Coach Taylor and Tami fight over Bobby Reyes' punishment.

7 :01x07 - Homecoming

It's Homecoming in Dillion, and the occasion brings home alumni, including 2000 quarterback state champ Lucas Mize who's keeping a dark secret. Meanwhile, Tyra and Billy plan a post-Homecoming game party; Smash tries to impress a college recruiter; Riggins tries to go sober; and Street begins to grow suspicious of Lyla and Riggins.

8 :01x08 - Crossing the Line

Frustrated over his poor performance in front of college scouts, Smash turns to drastic measures in order to up his game. Smash also takes a job at the Alamo Freeze where Matt Seracen also works. Meanwhile, Riggins and Tyra restart their relationship; Street prepares for a paraplegic rugby game; and Julie debates whether or not she should go out with Matt.

9 :01x09 - Full Hearts

Emotions run high as the game against Gatling High draws near. Lyla and Riggins are alienated from their friends and teammates when rumors of their relationship are spread around both the school and the town. Smash puts his health at risk in order to improve his game. Meanwhile, Julie and Matt go on their first date, but everything that could go wrong during the date does.

10 :01x10 - It's Different for Girls

The cheerleaders prepare for their championship, but Lyla is relentlessly harassed when rumors about her affair with Riggins continue to spread. Meanwhile, Taylor puts a stop to Julie's budding relationship with Matt; Jason adjusts to life at home; and Smash gets closer to the preacher's daughter.

11 :01x11 - Nevermind

Matt's father returns home from Iraq for a surprise two-week visit, but the heroic figure Matt remembers is nothing like what his father is now. Meanwhile, Street and Lyla rekindle their relationship; Landry tutors Riggins; and Smash's girlfriend confides in him a deep secret.

12 :01x12 - What to Do While You're Waiting

During the Panther's bye week, their post-season berth depends on the outcome of a game between two rivals. Meanwhile, Matt's father adjusts to life away from the war in Iraq; the Streets file a lawsuit against Taylor; and Tyra copes with her mother's relationship.

13 :01x13 - Little Girl I Wanna Marry You

Pressure and tensions mount as the playoffs are only one game away. Smash's mother makes a shocking discovery that could end her son's football dreams. Meanwhile, Tyra confronts her mother and Jason thinks seriously about his relationship with Lyla.

14 :01x14 - Upping the Ante

The Panther's post-season destiny comes to light as they play a crucial game. Meanwhile, Coach Taylor deals with Smash's personal problems; Julie and Tyra find an unexpected friendship; Riggins reconnects with his estranged father; and Buddy uncovers something about Jason and Lyla.

15 :01x15 - Blinders

The Panthers celebrate their playoff win, until race issues among the team emerge and test their bond as teammates. Meanwhile, Tami disapproves of Julie's new friendship with Tyra; Riggins and his brother adapt to life with their father; and the girls play in a powder-puff football game.

16 :01x16 - Black Eyes & Broken Hearts

Racial tensions continue to mount as the black players on the Panthers call for Mac McGill to be fired for his comments. With Smash leading the protest, the team isn't fully ready for their next playoff game. As Taylor debates firing McGill to please the players, Julie's friendship with Tyra continues to be increasingly destructive. Meanwhile, Jason makes a life-changing decision; Matt goes to great lengths to get Julie back; and Dillion heads into their must-win playoff game.

17 :01x17 - I Think We Should Have Sex

With another win under their belt, the Panthers begin to feel unstoppable. Julie shocks Matt when she tells him she's ready to have sex. Matt attempts to plan an unforgettable night for Julie, but his plans are interrupted when Tami runs into him at the store while he's buying condoms. Meanwhile, Riggins' relationship with his father turns bad while one family deals with an embarrassing secret.

18 :01x18 - Extended Families

Buddy finds himself in hot water when his infidelity is revealed. As her family unravels, Lyla finds comfort in Jason. Meanwhile, Waverly and Smash go for a midnight swim and Coach Taylor meets with TMU.

19 :01x19 - Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

As TMU continues to try to recruit Coach Taylor, Julie tells her parents that she does not want to leave Dillon or Matt. After practicing hard to make the team, Jason is crushed when he learns that he's not going to Beijing for the Paralympics. Meanwhile, Riggins befriends a single mother and her son.

20 :01x20 - Mud Bowl

When envelopes of cash appear in the players' lockers prior to the playoffs, Coach Taylor worries that the boys will lose sight of the true beauty of the game. After a chemical spill near the high school, the Panthers must move their semi-final game from their stadium to another location, which Taylor ultimately decides will be cow field. During the game rain begins to fall, turning the field into a mud pit and the Panthers struggle in this must-win game.

21 :01x21 - Best Laid Plans

After being pressured by TMU to take the coaching job, Taylor makes a rash decision that upsets his family and disrupts his future. Riggins deals with his new relationship with the single mother next door. Meanwhile, Jason moves into a new apartment and Landry reveals the secret Tyra's been keeping.

22 :01x22 - State

The Panthers prepare for the State Championship game, but rumors about Coach Taylor's new coaching job at TMU puts doubts in the minds of the Dillion citizens and players. The team gets ready to go up against their former teammate, star quarterback Voodoo Tatum. As the Panthers take the field for the biggest game of the season, and possibly their lives, Tami makes a shocking, yet happy announcement to Taylor.

23 :02x01 - Last Days of Summer

As summer nears its end, the defending state champion Panther team looks forward to their upcoming season despite the changes that took place since last season. Eric Taylor starts his coaching job at TMU and discovers how hard it is being apart from his wife as she goes into labor. Meanwhile, Tyra runs into someone from her past that will change her life forever; and Matt and Landry both deal with their new lifestyles, but neither are comfortable with the changes.

24 :02x02 - Bad Ideas

The first day of school at Dillon High brings new changes. Tami finds it difficult to be a mother to a newborn and a teenager, especially with Eric away at TMU. Matt's "perfect" life begins to slip away while Landry tries to move on after a life changing event. However, Smash is loving the new year as coaches, media and scouts have nothing but praise for him.

25 :02x03 - Are You Ready for Friday Night?

The first Friday night of the season finally arrives for the Dillon Panthers, but things do not go as hoped. Smash and Saracen have trouble both on and off the field while Eric Taylor returns to find his old team falling apart. Riggins finds himself in a scary situation that forces him to reach out to an unexpected person.

26 :02x04 - Backfire

Riggins and Street head to Mexico so Street can look into experimental surgery. Concerned about Jason, Tim calls Lyla, who is busy back in Dillion helping a new-comer adjust. Meanwhile, Coach Taylor makes a life-altering career move, and the search continues for the rapist's killer.

27 :02x05 - Let's Get It On

Coach Taylor makes his return to the Dillon Panthers as the head coach, especially after realizing that being with his family is where he should have been all along. But his homecoming isn't as smooth as he had hoped. The team is in pieces, especially with Saracen and Smash at each other's throats. Meanwhile, Lyla comes to Riggins aid in convincing Street to change his mind about the surgery.

28 :02x06 - How Did I Get Here?

Evidence arises that implicates Landry in the death of Tyra's attacker, and Landry's father finds out. When Landry comes clean to his father about what happened, his father must choose between being a father and being a police officer. Tami's sister, Shelley, comes to Dillon to help with the baby and Shelly's free-spirited nature makes Tami reflect on the choices she's made throughout her life. Later, Riggins is kicked off the team and must prove to Coach Taylor that he wants to be a part of the team.

29 :02x07 - Pantherama!

The day Smash has been waiting for his entire football career has finally arrived -- it's the first official day for college recruiters to talk with players, and Smash will finally learn what his college future will hold. Despite all the attention recruiting day is given, Coach Taylor focuses his attention on a new player. Meanwhile, Saracen is enjoying spending time with his new girlfriend, but is becoming increasingly attracted to his grandmother's nurse; Julie becomes jealous of Matt and his new girlfriend; and Tami has Lyla and Tyra work together for the annual "Pantherama" event.

30 :02x08 - Seeing Other People

Smash makes a college recruiting visit; Matt goes after Carlotta; Tami has words with Julie's teacher; Eric is jealous of Tami's new relationship with a colleague; the brother of Tara's attacker asks to talk with her.

31 :02x09 - The Confession

Landy's conscience still haunts him despite having come clean about the murder of Tara's attacker. Meanwhile, Herc tells Jason to move on and begin dating once again; and the tension grows between Tami and Julie as the Taylor's prepare for Gracie's christening.

32 :02x10 - There Goes the Neighborhood

A rival school comes to Dillon after their school is damaged by a tornado. Meanwhile, Tami, Julie and Riggins all learn to adjust with their new living situation. Also, Lyla's mother plans to remarry, while Tyra and Landry try to move on from the murder.

33 :02x11 - Jumping the Gun

Smash is pressured to choose a college. Meanwhile, Coach Taylor has his mind on Riggins and Julie as the Panthers prepare for their toughest game of the season so far. Also, Tami and her sister are at odds with each other.

34 :02x12 - Who Do You Think You Are?

Tami has trouble letting go as the Taylors consider using daycare for Gracie. Lyla begins her job as a DJ for a Christian radio station. Matt makes a decision about his passions for Carlotta. Family and friends wonder about Smash's choices in his love life.

35 :02x13 - Humble Pie

Smash's confrontation at the movie theater turns worse when assault charges are pressed against him. Now, Smash must choose between apologizing or standing up for what is right. As Street begins a new career, Tami also takes on a new job when Coach Taylor hires her as the girls' volleyball coach. Meanwhile, Riggins tries to express his true feelings to Lyla.

36 :02x14 - Leave No One Behind

Tami's newfound bond towards Tyra has Julie feeling jealous once again. Meanwhile, Landry finds a new love, Coach Taylor gives guidance to Smash during his suspension and Matt has lost sight of what matters anymore.

37 :02x15 - May the Best Man Win

Smash will not give up on his plans for a future in college football. Coach Taylor is irked when Tami's ex-boyfriend comes to town for a visit. Meanwhile, Street receives news that will change his life forever, and despite Layla's new relationship with another guy, Riggins refuses to give up yet.

38 :03x01 - I Knew You When

Tami becomes frustrated after she notices the school claims to lack funds when it comes to education, but always has plenty of money for the football program. Meanwhile, Tyra learns that her lackluster freshman grades may prevent her from getting into her dream college; and Smash worries that he will not be able to make a comeback following his injury.

39 :03x02 - Tami Knows Best

As Tami becomes frustrated over Tyra's recent actions, Matt inadvertently finds his mother while trying to locate help for his grandmother. Meanwhile, Coach Taylor tries to get Smash to go to college tryouts.

40 :03x03 - How the Other Half Lives

Coach worries about his own job security, while Julie and Matt reconnect and Tim's brother tries to rope him into a get-rich-quick scheme.

41 :03x04 - Hello, Goodbye

It's an emotional farewell to the Smash and perhaps the beginning of a reunion of Julie and Matt on Friday Night Lights.

42 :03x05 - Every Rose Has Its Thorn

Matt must deal with his mother as well as his emotions as McCoy begins to gain more attention as a quarterback. Meanwhile, Tami and Julie clash over Tyra, and Tyra begins to see Cash's darker side.

43 :03x06 - It Ain't Easy Being J.D. McCoy

Coach Taylor becomes angry at Tim and the team after he learns about how they have been hazing the freshmen. Meanwhile, Julie and Matt take a late night swim together and Tyra is shocked when she meets a woman who claims Cash owes her back child support.

44 :03x07 - Keeping Up Appearances

Eric and Tami team up to try to calm down Jamarca's angry parents. Meanwhile, Billy presses Tim to go after a scholarship while Jason, Herc and the Riggins receive unexpected good news.

While Jason talks about leaving Texas, Tami and Eric find themselves in a fight due to growing money trouble. Meanwhile, Julie talks to Eric about Matt.

The Panthers find out that their game will be aired on national television. Matt has to handle the tension between his mother and grandmother. Tim and Lyla have a fight over Tim's decision about college. Tami's birthday surprise is interrupted by an unexpected phone call.

Coach Taylor is once again pushed to his limits, on and off the field. Lyla turns to Tim when Buddy reveals a secret, while Tyra has a plan to repair her relationship with Landry.

J.D.'s dad gets more involved with J.D.'s relationship with Madison. Matt's Grandmother gets in an accident and Buddy gets involved with some dealings Coach Taylor doesn't agree with.

J.D.'s dad has to deal with child protective services after his fight with J.D. Tyra realizes that life isn't fair and that she needs to do whatever is necessary to get in to college. Matt and Tim prepare for the last game of their high school career: The Texas State Championship.

50 :03x13 - Tomorrow Blues

Five months after the disappointing Texas State Championship, the seniors have come to a major crossroads. Matt makes a tough decision about college while Tim and Lyla determine the fate of their relationship. Billy and Mindy's wedding day finally arrives and Coach Taylor is unsure about the renewal of his coach contract.

Coach Taylor start his new job at East Dillon High for the East Dillon Lions. Matt starts to see the struggles of remaining in town. Tami is doing her best to move on as principle of Dillon High. Tim Riggins returns to town after a college lecture.

Eric is put under pressure while trying to regain the trust of his team after forfitting the first game. It is discovered that Luke isn't really living where he says and is actually in the district for East Dillon. Riggins volunteers his services for Coach and Landry meets the new girl at school after running over her bike.

53 :04x03 - In the Skin of a Lion

Coach Taylor experiences financial hardships trying to keep the Lions afloat, while Buddy Garrity faces social ones with the Dillon Panther boosters after the Luke Cafferty move. Luke also has trouble adjusting to playing for Coach Taylor and feeling like he isn't getting his chance. Tami is worried about Julie and her issue with her faith, while Julie is more concerned about her relationship with Matt, who is doing his best to impress the grumpy artist he is interning with.

Coach Taylor tries his best to arrange a pep-rally with old East Dillon Lions players. Debby explores way to get to know her homosexuality better. Becky tries to prepare for her Miss audition but it doesn't go completely like she hoped. Tensions between Luka and Vince rises more and more. Matt gets some bad news.

Matt is dealing with the effects of his father's death and his feelings towards him while the town prepares for the funeral. Luke is starting to get annoyed with his former teammates from Dillon and Becky tries to see where she stands with Tim Riggins.

Coach Taylor searches for a strategy for their next opponent, which will be the toughest team they've faced. Meanwhile, Tim reconnects with Lyla, and Julie and Matt go to a concert in Austin where they make a decision about their relationship.

As futures begin to unfold for many Dillon residents, the Taylor's must decide whether to stay in Texas or move to Philadelphia for the job Tammy was offered.
