Phoebe Buffay-Hannigan, played by Lisa Kudrow
Ditsy, goofy Phoebe has had a difficult life. Orphaned at a young age, she knows the mean life of city streets, but she doesn't let it bother her a bit. She takes the tragedies in her life and writes goofy songs about them. She has been roomates with both Monica and Rachel, but she enjoyed living with Rachel more, because she feels Rachel is more "easygoing". She once helped her half-brother Frank and his wife, by acting as a surrogate mother and carrying their triplets. She was married to a gay ice dancer so he could get a green card. Though through most of the series, Phoebe didn't keep a boyfriend for more than a few episodes, she finally married her true love, Mike. |
