2 :01x02 - The One With the Sonogram at the End

Ross finds out his ex-wife, Carol, is pregnant and he has to attend the sonogram along with Carol's lesbian lover, Susan. But the sonogram turns sour when he discovers Carol and Susan plans for his unborn child. Meanwhile, Monica and Ross's parents are coming for dinner, sending Monica off to impress her overbearing mother, whilst Rachel comes face-to-face with her jilted fiancee for the first time since the wedding.

Chandler and Joey are struggling now that they don't live together, but neither will admit it. After a long phone conversation, Joey tells Monica and Phoebe he wants to move back in with Chandler. But when Rachel and Ross tell Chandler that Joey is happy in his new place, he gets a new roommate called Eddie. Meanwhile, Phoebe is discovered by a record producer who wants to make a music video of "Smelly Cat" and the gang are stunned by the result of the video. Elsewhere, Monica is sick of Ross spending so much time at her and Rachel's and is reminded of their childhood, which prompts her to make a shock confession to him.

Joey acting career couldn't be brighter as his Days of Our Lives role becomes a success and he is even asked to do an interview for TV magazine Soap Opera Digest. However, his wealth and fortune comes crashing down when he tells a white lie in the interview about the writers of the show - and they respond by killing him off. Meanwhile, Chandler is having trouble bonding with his new roommate Eddie. He soon discovers he roommate is a lunatic when he finds out about his break-up with a girl called Tilly, and after Tilly visits, Eddie accuses Chandler of sleeping with her. How is Chandler going to deal with his unhinged roommate? Elsewhere, Richard and Monica have their first arguement over their past relationships, whilst Ross is worried Rachel prefers sex with Paolo rather than him.

When he catches Eddie watching him sleep, Chandler decides to finally get rid of his mentally-ill roommate and asks him to leave. But Eddie won't go easy and he begins telling imaginery stories about him and Chandler to the gang. Pushed to the limit, Chandler decides to play Eddie at his own mental games and enlists the help of a very special friend. Meanwhile, Joey is recovering from his Days of Our Lives sacking. But the situation finally hits home when he goes from a main character of a hit TV show to a secondary cab driver, and worse still, he is left debt-ridden by the bank and may lose everything he owns. Elsewhere, Phoebe, Monica and Rachel become hooked on a women's book called "Be Your Own Wind-Keeper", so much that they begin turning on their men and each other.

Meanwhile, Joey and Chandler take a liking to Richard after he takes them to a Knicks game in his Jaguar, so they try to be him by smoking cigars and growing a moustache. But Richard is hurt when Joey lets slip that he sees him more like a father than a friend. Elsewhere, Ross is upset that he is missing out on Ben's first things and demands his son for the weekend. But Rachel is not very good with babies and is freaked when she discovers Ross has mapped out their entire future.

Pushed to the limit by his jealousy, Rachel confronts Ross for jerpoardising both of their jobs. Can he overcome his jealousy before he ruins his and Rachel's relationship? Meanwhile, Joey gets a part in a musical called "A Tale Of Two Cities", having lied on his resume about his dancing skills. Chandler advises him to reject the job after seeing him dance. But Joey still attends. Things become difficult for Joey when the director instructs him to teach a complex dance sequence to the other dancers, whilst Monica is seduced by a handsome poet called Julio. Joey is hired as a phone operator for a PBS telethon. Phoebe hates PBS due to the bad experiences she suffered as a child and brands it a selfishness telethon mesquerading as a good dead. Meanwhile, Monica tells Rachel she is dating a guy from her resturant to cover up her affair with Chandler. Things get worse when Emily suggests getting rid of Ross's lifelong apartment in favour of her cousins old place, forcing Joey to flip out and tell Ross a few home truths. Faced with losing everything and everyone he loves, Ross is forced to face that his marriage cannot survive. Meanwhile, Monica and Rachel encounter what appears to be a Yeti and they fug him with a bug bomb. The Yeti turns out to be their new neighbour, Danny. Rachel and Danny clash when Danny accuses Rachel of being shallow, whilst Phoebe inherites a Buffay family heirloom - a fur coat.

But Joey's date accuses him of recording their first night together, and when Rachel finds a naked picture of Monica at the boys place and accuses Joey of being a perverse stalker, it's the final straw. Meanwhile, Phoebe and Rachel join a literatue class. Phoebe wants to learn, whilst Rachel wants to have fun and repeatedly asks Phoebe to do her work and give her knowledge on books, which gives Phoebe an idea for revenge, whilst a troubled Ross gets really mad after his boss eats his leftover Thanksgiving sandwich and becomes greatly feared at the museam because of his outburst.
