I loved the first couple seasons. I thought it was well written with a healthy grounding in science (albeit highly exaggerated of course)and it seemed like the show had a plan that was building down a specific path.

Come the end of the 3rd season, this show has completely abandoned any attempt to show even the slightest respect for science, and therefore plausibility. Furthermore it has completely gone astray from the original plotline and has entered into Lost-ville.

This show will forever be remembered as having jumped the shark at the point when Walter rings an ordinary bell and somehow causes William Bell's dead spirit to posses Olivia. For those who haven't watched the show, no, there wasn't the slightest setup or explanation for how this feat was possible.
