Turanga Leela, known typically as just Leela, is a one-eyed mutant who works for Planet Express as captain of the space ship. When Leela was just a baby, her parents dropped her off at an adoption agency. For many years, Leela thought she a lone member of her species of alien, but eventually learned of her true species- mutant. Leela is friends with her co-workers Bender and Fry. Leela is a strong, but insecure woman, trying to fit in with society. |
