Futurama: My Three Suns

The Professor sends the crew to planet Trisol for a delivery. Bender finally fulfills his secret dream of being a chef and prepares dinner for everyone during the trip. When they arrive, Fry is instructed not to touch anything, but Trisol is sweltering and Bender's salty meal has made him even more thirsty. When he arrives at the palace, he spots a bottle of water by the throne. He quickly finishes it off as two pools of water morph into two guards. They inform Fry that since he just drank the emperor, he will be their new ruler. Unfortunately, his reign may be shorter than originally implied.

Episode Notes
Opening theme promotion: presented in DOUBLE-VISION DOUBLE-VISION where drunk

Opening theme cartoon: [Unknown]

Alien code: There are several signs written in Alien Code #1 in the screwed up alley. Most have the translation written right next to them. In order of appearance they read "Open, Ring," "Televideo," "#'s 1-12," "Market, Boxing," and "The Eye Will Come".

Alien code: While most of the signs around the Emperor's throne cannot be translated, one is written in Alien Code #1. It reads, of course, "Don't Drink The Emperor". There is a sign in red off to the side that does look like Alien Code 3, but it isn't.

LOOK HARD: The badge at the very bottom of Bender's sash is a picture of Homer Simpson.

Episode Quotes
Leela: I know you like cooking shows but you're a robot. You don't even have a sense of taste.
Bender: Honey, I wouldn't talk about taste if I was wearing a lime green tank top.
Fry: Bam!

Leela: Uh, Professor, are we even allowed in the Forbidden Zone?
Professor: Why, of course! It's just a name, like the Death Zone or the Zone of No Return! All the zones have names like that in the Galaxy of Terror!
Leela: Uh, Professor-
Professor: Off you go. Pleasant trip!

Bender: There was nothing wrong with that food. The salt level was 10% less than a lethal dose.
Zoidberg: Uh-oh, I shouldn't have had seconds.

Leela: So, after I specifically asked you not to touch anything, you drank a bottle of strange blue liquid? It could have been poisonous acid!
Fry: It coulda been. But chances were equally good it was an emperor.

Amy: We've gotta get the Emperor out of your body before they kill you!
Zoidberg: Relax, Fry. I'll simply spin you in a high-speed centrifuge, separating out the denser fluid of His Highness.
Fry: But won't that crush my bones?
Zoidberg: Oh, right, right, with the bones! I always forget about the bones.

Fry: (to Leela) It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. Then the winter came, and the grasshopper died and the octopus ate all his acorns and also he got a race car. Is any of this getting through to you?

Fry: That's the saltiest thing I've ever tasted. And I once ate a big, heaping bowl of salt!

Amy: Bender, is this salt water?
Bender: It's salt with water in it, if that's what you mean.

Bender: I don't like you, and you don't like me...
Leela: I like you.
Bender: You do?!

Episode Goofs
It was mentioned twice during the episode that Fry had to recite an "absolutely flawless" royal oath by memory during his coronation ceremony or else he would be killed on the spot. He made the speech, even though he cheated by writing it down on his arm, he screwed up the last word of it, yet no one interveined or killed him.
