Life is a tragedy for those who feel and a comedy for those who think.

I will probably wait until they eventually make it to CN. Hopefully.

That's not going to happen, Nishi. The new Futurama episodes (actually about 4 "filmettes" split into half hour installments) will air on Comedy Central exclusively. Futurama's contract with [adult swim] will have expired by then, and CN rarely re-airs a series once it is done with.

I don't understand why some series with established fan bases don't just go to DVD-only releases instead of begging a network to air episodes.

Musicians self-produce CD's these days, so why not small video studios?

Just some notes that I read.

"During a meeting with the 'King of the Hill' voice team, IGN talked to voice actress Lauren Tom who revealed that she just recorded her last lines for the 4 Futurama DVD movies we first reported on a year ago:

Interview Wrote:
Among her most notable roles is that of Amy on Futurama, a role she will be reprising soon, as Futurama returns with four DVD movies, which will also be reformatted as 16 new episodes, to air on Comedy Central next year.

I asked Tom about her return to Futurama, and she told me "We just did sixteen episodes and we just recorded the last four, and that was a big tear-fest."

The tentative release date for the first movie is still around Christmas this year. Possibly the 4th of December."

There was some mention of Futurama at today's Comic-Con.

Here's a flier advertising "Bender's Big Score." Of particular note: "Coming Holiday 2007," which coincides with the probable release date Liam posted.

Here's a flier advertising Futurama's return to television "in 2008."

Besides "Bender's Big Score," IMDb lists "The Beast with a Billion Backs", "Bender's Game" and "Into the Wild Green Yonder" as the other movie titles.

Information stolen primarily from Futurama Madhouse.

Some inside information of the Comic-Con from Rotten Tomatoes.

Here's a little promo someone captured. There are some other videos floating around YouTube from the panel as well.

Just read this. It may be true, I don't know.

Lastly, there is likely going to be a Futurama trailer on the next Fantastic Four DVD.

I'll have to watch out for that.

Good news, Liam! TVShowsOnDVD has released DVD information, including possible extras and DVD artwork!

Here's the summary that the FOX press release gives:

Quote:
As Xmas 3007 approaches, the "Futurama" crew must fight to save Earth in an epic battle against nudist alien Internet scammers. When the evil naked aliens launch a cyber-attack on Planet Express, they make a shocking discovery: the secret of time travel, mysteriously tattooed on Fry's buttocks. Using their devious nudist software to control Bender, they repeatedly send the beer-fueled robot back in time to loot Earth of its greatest treasures. Bender's rampage through history has shocking repercussions when he encounters Al Gore (guest-starring as himself) during the 2000 Presidential recount. Meanwhile, Leela finds true love, a beloved crew member suffers an embarrassing decapitation, and Fry learns deep secrets about his destiny and his buttocks.

We're all that's left!

Nah, they're waiting for the show to become popular, after which they'll bust in with their, "I was a fan of this show before it was popular. Really!"
