Episode Title: 'Golden Crown' refers to the crown that Viserys Targaryen wants, and the one that he ultimately gets.

Trivia: When Viserys Targaryen and Ser Jorah Mormont stand off over the dragon eggs, Viserys says "And yet here you stand," to which Mormont replies "And yet here I stand." "Here We Stand" is the motto of House Mormon, of which Ser Jorah is a member.

Episode Quotes
Cersei: I took you for a king.
Robert: Hold your tongue.
Cersei: He’s attacked one of my brothers and abducted the other. I should wear the armor and you, the gown.

Robert slaps Cersei across the face

Cersei: I shall wear this like a badge of honor.
Robert: Wear it in silence, or I’ll honor you again.

Ned: What about Jamie?
Robert: I’m half-a-kingdom in debt to his bloody father! I don’t know what happened between you and those yellow-haired shits; I don’t want to know. This is what matters: I can’t rule the kingdoms if the Starks and the Lannisters are at each other’s throats. So, enough!

Ned: With your leave, I will return to Winterfell to set matters straight.
Robert: Piss on that! Send a raven. I want you to stay. I’m the king; I get what I want.

Robert reinstates Ned as Hand of the King

Robert: Put on the badge. And if you ever take if off again, I swear to the mother I’ll pin the damn thing on Jamie Lannister!

Mord enters Tyrion’s Sky Cell and begins hitting him

Mord: Dwarf-man making noise!
Tyrion: How would you like to be rich?
Mord: Dwarf-man still making noise!
Tyrion: My family is rich! We have gold, lots of gold! I’m prepared to give you lots of gold...

Mord pats Tyrion down, but finds nothing

Mord: No gold!
Tyrion: Well, I don’t have it here!
Mord: No gold! Fuck off!

Mord leaves

Syrio: You’re not here; you’re with your trouble. If you’re with your trouble when fighting happens...

Syrio knocks Arya down

Syrio: ...more trouble for you.

Syrio: Do you pray to the gods?
Arya: The old and the new.
Syrio: There is only one god, and his name is Death, and there is only one thing we say to Death: "Not today."

Episode Goofs

When Robb fights off the bandits, the blade of his sword is already bloody before he even starts to fight, even though it was clean when he originally removed it from the scabbard.

Factual Error:

The gold that is melted by the Dothraki to make a crown melts in the matter of a few seconds, which is much too quickly to be melted in real life.
