Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones

Seven noble families fight for control of the mythical land of Westeros. Political and sexual intrigue abound. The primary families are the Stark, Lannister, and Baratheon families. Robert Baratheon, King of Westeros, asks his old friend Eddard Stark to serve as his chief advisor. Eddard, suspecting that his predecessor had been murdered, accepts so that he can investigate further. It turns out more than one family is plotting to take the throne. The Queen's family, the Lannisters, may be hatching an incestuous plot to take control. Across the sea, the last surviving members of the previously deposed ruling family, the Targaryens, are also plotting a return to power. The conflict between these families and others, including the Greyjoys, the Tullys, the Arryns, and the Tyrells, leads to war. Meanwhile, in the north, an ancient evil awakens. Amidst war and the political confusion, a brotherhood of misfits, The Night's Watch, is all that stands between the realms of men and the horrors beyond. (Source: HBO)

Is this the real life, or is this just fantasy?Rating: 5 likes, 9 dislikes

Game of Thrones is, in my opinion, probably the best fantasy television show ever produced.
The character development, the plot development, the cinematography, the acting and writing...all are top notch. They manage to juggle the massive amount of story lines with deft ease and skill, never making you feel as if they rush through things. You love, hate, or empathize with each character at a level not common with television programs. This is one of very few truly brilliant shows. Read more

She glances down to the map in front of them and mentions the possibility of being trapped between the Lanisters and the water. She states that they have to take the Casterly Rock first. She orders her Grey Worm to send a man to see if they would rather fight for the winning side. The three leaders of the Second Sons meet with them in the Khaleesi's tent. 3x7: The Bear and the Maiden Fair recap: The episode begins and the Wildlings have scaled the wall and are now on their way to Castle Black. Although the Warg is skeptical of Jon Snow's allegiances and perhaps even lineage, it seems he also carries a torch for Ygritte. When he professes his love for her and points out that Jon Snow's beauty won't matter when she knows what he is, she doesn't budge. She's all in on Jon Snow and when he melts down pointing out that every time the Wildlings have attacked throughout the centuries, they have failed, she doesn't care, saying this time will be different because Mance Rayder is different... read more.
