An enraged Goliath goes after Xanatos and accuses him of trying to frame his Clan. Xanatos offers him protection in a biological testing laboratory. Knowing that if they don't go, Demona would conclude that Elisa was fine. So to throw off any suspicion, Goliath and Hudson go to face Demona.

There, their escape plan is momentarily thwarted by Derek, who shows up in the chopper to bring them in. Jackal shoots him with a bazooka, but, thanks to Xanatos, he only blasted the rear rotor. These words from Hudson trouble Goliath, as they no longer have a castle to protect. Meanwhile, knowing that Goliath overcame both Demona's sorcery and Xanatos' modern science separately, the two devise a way to use both energies to defeat him. Using remains of shattered gargoyles from the Wyvern Massacre, Demona and Xanatos reanimate the dead body of one of Goliath's rookery brothers.
