Fully aware of the new dangers of the strange new world, Goliath and his clan try to continue getting used to the new technologies and customs . . . from television to the concept of naming.
Meanwhile, Elisa Maza questions David Xanatos' right hand Owen Burnett about the explosions earlier that night. Having been told it was an overheated generator, Elisa remains unconvinced and strays away to find herself face to face with the mighty Goliath . . . where it's clear that she's about to find more questions than answers.

| Gargoyles cannot fly, only glide. | In this episode, Hudson is given his name. | This is the first appearance of regular side characters Margot and Brendan Yale. |
| |
| Hudson: Must you humans name everything? Nothing's real to you 'til you've named it, given it limits. | Elisa: A good detective trusts no one.
Goliath: That's one thing we have in common. | Goliath: What are you doing here?
Hudson: Just making certain you were not being ambushed.
Elisa: You guys are paranoid, even for New York. | Hudson: Does the sky need a name? Does the river?
Elisa: The river's name is The Hudson.
Hudson: Fine, lass. I will be the Hudson as well. | Elisa: What do you want to see?
Goliath: The dangers that threaten me and my kind.
Elisa: Lighten up will you. You're starting to bring me down, and I'm a cop. | Goliath: I see no walls to guard this city. How do you protect it from invaders?
Elisa: Well our biggest worries aren't from outside. They're from inside.
Goliath: That I am all too familiar with. | Elisa: You know, Goliath, you may be the best thing to happen in this city in a long time. |

| Broadway complains about the refrigerator being cold, but in a later episode Goliath says that cold does not bother gargoyles. |
