As the news of gargoyles spreads on a rapid scale, the gargoyles must face the suddenly aware world. An anti-gargoyle group forms called the Quarrymen and plots to rid Manhattan of the gargoyles. Goliath must make a tough decision for the good of the clan.

| The entire episode of The Journey is currently being rereleased in a comic book form -- the start of Greg Weisman's continuation of the Gargoyles Saga. He currently plans on ignoring the rest of The Goliath Chronicles.
| Vinnie: I'm moving to Japan . . .
According to Greg Weisman, it was Taro, the creator of the Museum of Gargoyles in Ishimora, that hired Vinnie.
| A special cameo from Erin Weisman, Greg Weisman's daughter, occurs in this episode. She plays the voice of baby Alexander Fox Xanatos.

Goliath: I don't really know . . .
Elisa: Should we tell him there are gargoyles in Japan?
Goliath: Somehow, I'm sure he's going to find out.

| Vinnie: I can't be protecting you anymore. I'm moving to Japan...
A subtle bit of irony, as Vinnie thinks he's moving to a country without gargoyles. On the contrary, he's moving to Japan, where the quiet little town Ishimora exists. Ishimora was a town visited by the World Travelors in the episode "Bushido."
